Onyx M. D. Awarded GSA Schedule Contract Creating Increases Access to Government Physician Jobs

Denver based physician recruiting company Onyx M. D., announces that they now help physicians find government physician jobs as they were recently awarded a General Services Administration (GSA) contract to provide services to federal agencies which provides a new source of locum tenens or temporary physician job opportunities to their providers.

Denver, CO (PRWEB) April 16, 2010

Onyx M. D., the Denver based physician recruiting company, announced that they have recently been awarded a General Services Administration (GSA) 621 I contract to provide Professional and Allied Healthcare Staffing solutions to federal agencies, allowing them to fill more government physician jobs (http://www. onyxmd. com/jobsearch/All+Speciality-All+States-Government. html) nationally.

This new contract opens up the door for Onyx M. D. to provide physician staffing solutions for government facilities such as the U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs, state and federal correction systems, Department of Defense, and military bases. As physician staffing needs arise for these facilities, they will turn to the GSA schedule, whereby companies on the schedule will bid on filling these government physician jobs (http://www. onyxmd. com/jobsearch/All+Speciality-All+States-Government. html). This promotes fair competition within the marketplace, which provides the best value for the government, and in turn, provides the best value for the American people.

“This is an exciting opportunity to be a selected provider of staffing solutions for the federal government,” says Camille Sankey, the head of the government division at Onyx M. D. “These facilities can now take advantage of our ELITE physician staffing solutions with much more ease, and we look forward to partnering with them in the long run.”

In addition to benefiting federal agencies, this schedule also benefits physicians by opening up new and diverse work opportunities. Government physician jobs (http://www. onyxmd. com/jobsearch/All+Speciality-All+States-Government. html) have numerous benefits: work-life balance, a stable job, a wide range of practice settings, work flexibility, and satisfaction from working with unique patient populations. “This new schedule contract is an excellent new growth opportunity for the company as we are committed to providing more options to the medical placement experience” says Dr. Robert Moghim, the founder of Onyx M. D.

Crothall Leads Industry in "Green" Laundry Practices

Crothall Leads Industry in "Green" Laundry Practices

Millions of gallons of water, thousands of megawatts of electricity, harsh chemicals for detergents and cleaners, and tons of rubbish pass through hospital laundries every year. Yet most environmental measures for laundries are limited to low-consumption washers and hot water reclamation. In the latest edition of Celebrations magazine, Crothall Services Group reveals new initiatives that address every stage of the laundry cycle, from new fabric weaves to better waste management, to propose ambitious solutions for green laundry processes.

Wayne, PA (PRWEB) October 27, 2008

Hospital laundry facilities are the most promising sector for reducing consumption and lowering expenses without affecting patient care.

Millions of gallons of water, thousands of megawatts of electricity, and tons of rubbish pass through hospital laundries every year, with few "green" initiatives to better manage resources. In the latest edition of Celebrations magazine, Crothall Services Group reveals its initiatives to provide solutions for ambitious green laundry processes, from new fabric technologies and efficient water utilization to "dumpster diving" to improve waste management.

Laundry operations may not leap out as environmental magnets, siphoning resources, but the annual effects for an average hospital are staggering:
About 120 million gallons of water consumed  100 tons of plastic trash created  Thousands of tons of discarded linens Conventional green initiatives have been limited to reducing water use with tunnel washers and cutting electricity by using heated wastewater to pre-warm wash water. Crothall Services Group has invested in broader research into every aspect of the laundry cycle to identify new areas to save resources.

"My goal is to continue to develop revolutionary solutions," said Crothall senior vice president Michael Bailey, "simple enough to share across the industry for the benefit of everyone."

The August issue of Celebrations covers the most promising green methods in its feature story, "How to Get Your Linens Their 'Greenest.'" Three processes have already been implemented at different facilities managed by Crothall with great success:
Reusing rinse water as the initial wash water for the next load of laundry; in conjunction with low-consumption tunnel washers, this lowers water use to less than a gallon per pound of laundry.  Having a dedicated "dumpster diver" who culls trash for a few hours a day to check for accidentally discarded linen - saving $1.5 million at just one facility in a year.  Introducing reusable or recyclable soiled linen collection bags, which cuts out 90 tons of plastic garbage a year.

The Celebrations cover story also highlights continuing research areas:
Evolving weaving technologies for fabrics to increase linen lifetimes by 20%  Sterile processing of surgical linens, saving over $1 million (and 1500 tons of waste)  Mandating phosphate-free and NPE-free detergents and cleaners in all Crothall facilities

The August Celebrations also explores other hospital issues, including running the second in a three-part series on top hospital administrator concerns and giving an overview of patient transportation enhanced services. An archive of Crothall's publication is available on their website at http://crothall. com/celebrations/ (http://crothall. com/celebrations/).

To Go Brands Launches All-Natural Trim Energy™ in its Flourishing "Healthy To Go"® Product Line

To Go Brands Launches All-Natural Trim Energy™ in its Flourishing "Healthy To Go"® Product Line

Digital packaging solutions printer CL&D Digital creates sample packaging to help To Go Brands secure shelf space for the new healthy and natural weight loss plan.

Hartland, WI (PRWEB) December 28, 2009

CL&D Digital, a short-run, quick-delivery printer of consumer goods products packaging and labels for sales samples, prototypes, and comps (http://www. clddigital. com) has assisted in the developmental stages of bringing Trim Energy™ successfully to market, the latest in a series of healthy, convenient "Healthy To Go®" formulas from parent company To Go Brands, Inc. (http://www. togobrands. com/index. php? option=com_content&view=article&id=58&Itemid=61) in San Diego, California. Healthy To Go products fulfill a need for consumers who desire to purchase healthy "add to bottled water" drink mixes in single-serving "stick packs" at mass market, drug, food, and health channel retailers with its latest product release.

"The weight loss category is filled with numerous 'pills' that promise miracles without helping consumers learn how to modify the behavior that made them overweight in the first place," explains Traci DelVecchio, director of marketing for To Go Brands. "Trim Energy offers a safe and effective weight loss system in a simple delivery form that not only helps reduce weight, but teaches healthier eating habits. Consumers continue to look for a safe and natural weight loss plan." She continues, "It's the perfect time to make the Trim Energy introduction, under the established 'Healthy To Go' brand halo that consumers are familiar with and trust." DelVecchio says, "What CL&D has done for us is help us with brand new items (http://www. clddigital. com/what. html) we're bringing to market, and before we can actually do that, we need to showcase the finished product in presentations to retailers. CL&D has been tremendous in creating a replica of what the finished product would look like - something they can physically touch and feel - to really get the experience of what the product is like long before it's in production." She further comments that CL&D is phenomenal with turnaround time, since the buyer meetings are typically scheduled at the last minute. "CL&D comes to the rescue - without fail, they'll make it happen," she concludes, adding that one of the things they've also helped with is the quality of the packaging. "They're just very cognizant of look and feel, ensuring that the color is a good match, the format works, and the size is correct. Especially in a major rush, having a partner to double check you is invaluable."

Trim Energy is available now at Costco and online, with full distribution in grocery stores, drug stores, and mass retailers as well as health food stores expected by April 2010. Other Healthy To Go products include Greens Super Fruits and Veggies™, Acai Natural Energy Boost™, Green Tea Energy Fusion™, and the soon-to-be re-released Extreme Berries To Go™, a rebranding of Berrie Crush™.

About CL&D Digital and digital package printing
Bob Scherer, Vice President of CL&D Digital, is a respected conference speaker and contributor to industry trade journals on the subject of digital technology and digital package printing solutions - from thought to consumer. In 1995 along with two partners, Scherer established CL&D Digital as one of the first packaging printers to use Hewlett-Packard (HP)/Indigo digital printing technology. The company's customers - including many Fortune 500 consumer products manufacturers - count on CL&D Digital's full production run quality for their package and label sales samples, prototypes, and comps.

Digital printing can help a manufacturer avoid the high costs and long lead times associated with conventional printing. Depending on the quantity and number of colors, digital printing can cost up to half as much as conventional printing - in part because digital printing is achieved direct from the computer without plating. Digital printing can allow for less waste and storage, too, by printing only the quantity needed. It can also provide the flexibility of showing different versions of the same packaging at minimal cost, which offers the capability of moving a product into niche markets once deemed too cost prohibitive.

In addition to digital printing and packaging dry goods including food, candy, coffee, sundries, and personal care items, CL&D Digital has the capability of overseeing the packaging of refrigerated foods in a consistent 38 degree-temperature warehouse, or frozen foods in zero degree-temperature warehouse, both within over 600,000 cubic feet of state-of-the-art, ASI-certified space. CL&D Digital is certified by The American Sanitation Institute (ASI) for food contact packaging and non-food contact packaging.

AP9 Essentials Provides Summer Hair Rescue Tips

AP9 Essentials Provides Summer Hair Rescue Tips

AP9 Essentials helps members repair damage to hair and save money on trendy Styles.

Norwalk, CT (PRWEB) August 7, 2006

A summer of sun, chlorine, wind and surf can take a toll on hair. Fortunately, there’s ways to combat the frizzy, drabby, dried out symptoms of summertime hair problems. AP9 Essentials (http://www. essentials-program. com/), a membership program offered by Adaptive Marketing LLC, says that damaged hair can be prevented and even reversed with gentle treatments at a reasonable price.

By simply logging on to DealPass (http://www. DealPass. com/), AP9 Essentials members can save on a range of products and services that keep them looking their best. With discounts of up to 20% on purchases such as apparel, eyewear, sportswear, fashion accessories and of course, health and beauty aids and treatments, AP9 Essentials members can enjoy significant savings every day of the year.

AP9 Essentials (http://www. essentials-program. com/) suggests these tips to bring life back to summer-stressed hair.

-- Protection from the sun is key. Hats or caps are an easy way to cover hair and even prevent sunburn to the scalp.

-- Try a leave-in conditioner on days when swimming for long periods of time. This will help protect hair from salt and chlorine damage.

-- Limit exposure to hot hair treatments such as blow dryers, curling irons and straightening irons. Try air-drying hair or use a leave-in conditioner before using a heat-producing tool.

-- Drinking water helps hair and skin stay hydrated.

-- Avoid hair care products with alcohol or formaldehyde as they can dry out hair. Consider shampooing every other day, as shampoos can strip moisture from hair, but continue to use a daily conditioner.

-- Schedule regular hair appointments to combat split ends and frizziness. Consider a shorter style for faster drying time and easier styling.

-- For longer hairstyles, wearing hair in a ponytail, braid or similar knot can minimize frizz and other damage.

Taking the time to protect hair from summer stress will help minimize long-term effects. If hair is severely damaged, a stylist should be able to find the right regimen to correct problems. Helping members look their best without having to spend a fortune is the driving force behind of AP9 Essentials.

Indiana Governor to sign "5-Star" Statement of Support for the Indiana National Guard and Reserve

Indiana Governor to sign "5-Star" Statement of Support for the Indiana National Guard and Reserve

Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels is joing a cadre of his fellow governors, Fortune 500 Companies, and thousands of America's Employers in demonstrating support for employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve.

Indianapolis (PRWEB) August 10, 2005

Ed Bensman, State Chair of the Indiana Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Committee, an agency of the Department of Defense, announced that Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels will sign a “5-Star” Statement of Support for the Guard and Reserve on Friday, August 12, 2005.

The signing ceremony will be conducted in Governor DanielsÂ’ Statehouse office, and will include the senior commanders of the Guard and Reserve components in the State of Indiana.

The “5-Star” Statement of Support confirms that the state of Indiana:

-Signed a Statement of Support publicly demonstrating its support for its employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve.

-Reviewed its Human Resources policies to ensure compliance with the Uniformed Services Employment and Re-Employment Rights Act Law.

-Promotes training for managers and supervisors to effectively manage its employees who serve in the Guard and Reserve.

-Adopted polices and programs that are “Above and Beyond” what is required by the USERRA Law.

-Is an advocate for employee service in the National Guard and Reserve and will help to promote the mission of ESGR.

“Today, supportive employers are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the nation’s National Guard and Reserve units. I am asking all Indiana employers to review and amend their current human resources policies to ensure compliance with the Uniformed Services Employment and Re-Employment Rights Act Law (USERRA),” said Bensman. “Many Indiana employers provide ‘Above and Beyond’ support with pay differential to offset the loss of wages, and extension of health care benefits which complement coverage provided by the military when their employees are mobilized.”

When asked about the “5-Star” criteria, Bensman said “By meeting the ‘5-Star’ Statement of Support criteria, the state of Indiana will stand proudly with its Guard and Reserve employees, who like the Minute Men before them, continue to answer their nation’s call to defend our way of life. Their personal sacrifices are essential to the strength of our nation”.

“I encourage all employers in Indiana to participate in this statement of support program for the National Guard and Reserve. Our Hoosier men and women serve their country with dignity and honor, and do so voluntarily. We must stand behind them and let them know we back them 100 percent,” said Governor Daniels.

Governor Daniels is joining a cadre of his fellow Governors, Fortune 500 companies, and thousands of America’s employers in demonstrating support for our armed forces,” added Bensman. “By signing the ‘5-Star’ Statement of Support, Governor Daniels is sending a clear message to the employees of the state of Indiana that while they are serving their country they do not have to worry about their civilian jobs.”

Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) is a Department of Defense agency established in 1972. The mission of ESGR is to gain and maintain active support from all public and private employers for the men and women of the National Guard and Reserve. ESGR volunteers provide free education, consultation, and if necessary mediation for employers of Guard and Reserve employees.

As the 1.2 million members of the National Guard and Reserve continue to perform an increasing number of unique missions that require extraordinary actions on the part of everyday citizens, ESGR will continue to be the informational agency for the employers of AmericaÂ’s Patriots. More information about ESGR Employer Outreach Programs and volunteer opportunities is available at www. esgr. mil, or by calling Duke Ellington, Executive Director of the Indiana ESGR Committee, at 317-247-3548.

Rising Number of Uninsured Texans Have New Choice in Healthcare

Rising Number of Uninsured Texans Have New Choice in Healthcare

Starting February 1st uninsured patients in Texas will have a new choice in healthcare. According to a New York Times article by Paul Krugman, "More than one in every three people in America under the age of 65 was uninsured at some point in 2006 or 2007." This amounts to 47 million uninsured Americans; over 5.5 million of these are Texans.

Arlington, Texas (PRWEB) January 28, 2008

Starting February 1st uninsured patients in Texas will have a new choice in healthcare. According to a New York Times article by Paul Krugman, "More than one in every three people in America under the age of 65 was uninsured at some point in 2006 or 2007." This amounts to 47 million uninsured Americans; over 5.5 million of these are Texans.

With increasing pressure to create access to healthcare, Texas residents have an undeniable need for alternative care. Dr. Jill Waggoner, Medical Director of South Texas Medical Center not only recognized this need, she is doing something about it.

Dr. Waggoner said, "With over 40 million people uninsured in our country, how many forego services because of the exorbitant cost of being self-insured, and how many people just do not have $300-$600 for a routine exam?"

Dr. Waggoner and her partner, Lee DeGrande, have created a solution called HourCare. Opening January 25th in Arlington, the full-service clinic that guarantees you'll be in and out in an hour comes with a twist - they don't take insurance.

"We are able to offer quality care for much less than traditional medical facilities by cutting out all the paperwork, manpower, and red tape that drives healthcare costs through the roof," says HourCare co-founder Lee DeGrande.

According to New York Times journalist, Paul Krugman, "The United States spends almost six times as much on healthcare administration as other advanced countries." This becomes glaringly obvious when Dr. Waggoner explains that the same blood test your doctor will charge your insurance company $500 to do, she can do at HourCare for $20.

HourCare opens the doors of its first clinic on Friday, January 25th at 1212 S. Bowen Street in Arlington.

For more information on the clinic please contact Natalie Walker at 972.248.8600.

Stone Mountain School Awarded Three-Year CARF Accreditation

Stone Mountain School Awarded Three-Year CARF Accreditation

Accreditation report recognizes that “staff, management, and leadership are truly committed to quality and excellence”

Black Mountain, NC (PRWEB) August 24, 2010

CARF International (http://www. carf. org/home/) has announced that Stone Mountain School (http://www. stonemountainschool. com/), a boarding school for boys with ADD, ADHD and learning differences or disabilities, has been accredited for a period of three years. This is the first accreditation that the international accrediting body has awarded to Stone Mountain School.

This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows Stone Mountain School’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a three-year accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that its programs and services are of the highest quality, measurable, and accountable.

“We are very proud of Stone Mountain School for its achievement of CARF accreditation,” said Phil Herschman, president of Aspen Education Group (http://www. aspeneducation. com/), the parent company of the North Carolina based program. “We continue to see the benefits of accreditation in our leadership, safety practices and the overall care of our students. This three-year accreditation is a wonderful reflection of our commitment to excellent care.”

The CARF accrediting officials found strengths in many areas of Stone Mountain School’s operations, noting that “the staff, management, and leadership are truly committed to quality and excellence.”

To be most effective, Stone Mountain School relies upon positive referral relationships with psychologists and educational consultants across the country, and the survey summary reported that these “referral sources were very complimentary with respect to the openness, levels of communication, and responsiveness of staff” and recent programmatic improvements were seen by referral sources as “key to strengthening [Stone Mountain School’s] market and service niche.”

Other strengths noted that “parents expressed gratitude for the level of communication between the school and the family” and “innovative” educational services. “The teaching staff is well trained and dedicated to the students.”

CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of the persons served. Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, and now known as CARF, the accrediting body establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.

Stone Mountain School is a long-term residential school in an outdoors environment that is geared to help boys ages 11-17 with emotional issues and behavioral problems related to learning differences or disabilities, attention deficit disorder (ADD), or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Search Engine Marketing Offers HR Best Value in Tough Economy Companies turning to NAS to improve Long - and Short-term ROI

Search Engine Marketing Offers HR Best Value in Tough Economy Companies turning to NAS to improve Long - and Short-term ROI

NAS Interactive, a division of NAS Recruitment Communications, has seen an increase in the number of companies adopting search engine marketing strategies to maximize their recruitment investment in today's tight economy.

Cleveland, OH (PRWEB) April 13, 2009

NAS Interactive, a division of NAS Recruitment Communications, has seen an increase in the number of companies adopting search engine marketing strategies to maximize their recruitment investment in today's tight economy.

"Restrictions on recruitment budgets place an emphasis on performance," said Caroline Slomski, Interactive Strategist for NAS. "As a result, we're seeing more organizations, in industries from healthcare and energy to food service, implement search engine marketing strategies as a means to maximize their recruitment budget."

Search engine marketing strategies, like Pay-Per-Click (PPC) campaigns, are among the most measurable forms of marketing. They not only keep opportunities visible, but are also a great branding vehicle, driving top-of-mind awareness and helping position organizations as employers of choice in their industry.

"These early adopters in the recruitment space understand that the right search strategy can provide both short-term ROI, and ensure the investment they have made in building their brand and reputation among candidates will still be strong when the economy rebounds," said Patty Van Leer, SVP of NAS Interactive.

NAS manages Google Adwords, Yahoo! Search Marketing and Microsoft AdCenter search engine marketing campaigns. Its dedicated SmartClicks Center for search engine marketing is manned by certified specialists who handle all aspects of the campaign. This allows NAS SmartClicks to provide the highest possible quality scores at the lowest cost-per-click.

"The beauty of search engine marketing is that you pay only for traffic," says Slomski. "Our campaigns provide candidate exposure and increase traffic for very little cost-per-visitor. It's why the right strategy can be extremely effective and economical."

When combined with Total Source Tracker, these campaigns can draw and track candidates from initial click to completed application.

To learn more about NAS' digital recruitment solutions, please contact Patty Van Leer at pvanleer @ nasrecruitment. com.

Give the Providers What They Want: Two Physicians Share Ways Their Facilities Have Improved Provider Satisfaction

Give the Providers What They Want: Two Physicians Share Ways Their Facilities Have Improved Provider Satisfaction

MEDSEEK, the leading provider of enterprise portal connectivity solutions, announced today that Dr. Asim Masood of William Osler Health Centre and Dr. Jay Wallin of Mount Carmel Health System will present a Webinar in the monthly educational series reThinking eHealth. The session, titled "Give the Providers What They What: Two physicians share ways their facilities have improved provider satisfaction," will take place on Wednesday August 27th at 2pm EDT, 11am PDT.

Birmingham, Ala. (PRWEB) August 10, 2008

For this Webinar, Dr. Masood, Deputy Chief of Staff at William Osler, will share with you his experience as an ER physician accessing clinical data as well communicating and educating the Physician Community with the latest and greatest information from the organization. Through the implementation of the Virtual Medical Office, branded MDNet at William Osler, physicians truly have one-stop shopping for access to clinical applications, a census list for patients they are treating and administrative policies and procedures, all personalized to that specific provider. Dr. Masood will share considerable insight into how to develop a strategy that meets the provider where they are with the data they need.

"As we continue to squeeze our health care dollars, trying to do more with less, the next great opportunity is the enhancement, streamlining, and integration of the entire system through investments in information technology," says Dr. Masood. "Internet Technology will help us share important patient information with the healthcare team, reduce medical errors to improve patient safety, and enhance the patient experience," he states.

In addition to having strong communication with providers, it is also necessary to maximize their daily productivity in order to be the most effective in their organization. Dr. Jay Wallin at Mount Carmel Health System will discuss his experience with the MEDSEEK Provider Portal in Internal Medicine and how, since the implementation of the portal, he has gained significant efficiency in his day. With the ability provided by the portal to have real-time access to the data that he needs to treat his patients in the hospital or using remote access, Dr. Wallin has more time to spend with the patient, and ultimately be more effective as a provider.

"Before MEDSEEK I had to log-in to seven different systems that were difficult to navigate just to view a portion of patient information. With MEDSEEK, I log in once and can see all patient information by hospital and covering group from anywhere. It's like a virtual round," Dr. Wallin claims.

Register to attend this informative Webinar online at www. medseek. com/rethinkingehealth (http://www. medseek. com/rethinkingehealth). Hear from both of these experienced physicians on how to give the providers in your organization exactly what they need.

As part of MEDSEEK's commitment to advancing eHealth education, the reThinking eHealth Educational Webinar series is provided at no cost and will be held monthly. In addition to participating in the Webinar discussion, attendees will also receive a complimentary copy of "Using Clinical Portals to Bridge Information Silos," a white paper written by Dan Bravard, RN MBA, an eHealth Specialist in MEDSEEK's Consulting Services division.

Welloffers Launches, Focus on Health and Fitness Deals

Welloffers Launches, Focus on Health and Fitness Deals

New site uses the power of group purchasing to offer unbeatable deals to health and fitness conscious customers.

Austin, TX (PRWEB) January 11, 2011

Nextscreen Labs today announces the launch of Welloffers. com, a new site offering deals from health and fitness merchants in the Austin area. Welloffers is able to negotiate deals with Austin businesses by offering them access to an online marketing vehicle they might not otherwise have the expertise to take advantage of on their own.

"By building a targeted list of customers interested in health and fitness, merchants who advertise their deal on Welloffers are exposed to a captive audience," says Rob Grady, Founder and CEO. "Compared to the other group buying sites out there, Welloffers simply gives these particular merchants a better chance."

Selling a lifestyle, not bargains
While deals advertised on Welloffers are offered at deep discounts of 50%-80% off, merchants typically look for customers who are likely to be repeat customers. Customers who purchase deals on Welloffers are buying into a lifestyle and are looking for new ways to enhance these lifestyles with new experiences provided by local Austin merchants they may not have known about before. Some of the deals being featured on Welloffers. com include:
Dane's Body Shop workout program  A&E Beauty Laser Vitamin C lightening mask  Tiger Lilly Acupuncture session

Welloffers expects to learn from the launch in Austin with the goal of expanding into additional geographic markets targeting fragmented, local, small to mid-sized health and fitness business and customers.

About Welloffers
Welloffers. com, launched in December 2010, is a "deal site" addressing a lifestyle vertical that represents a significant percentage of the overall economy.

About Nextscreen Labs
NextScreen Labs builds great, connected products through rapid prototyping, agile development and customer validation. Our product design and development process is rooted in business with customer insights, market driven features and a measured technology solution.

British company secures premier league investors at first round of institutional funding

These are tough times for raising investment money, yet one British company has successfully raised just over £4 million ($6 million) from a syndicate of leading venture capital companies from around the world. Nanotechnology involves creating atomic scale products or particles and is a fledgling industry that is generating a lot of media excitement and investment by governments, companies and Venture Capitalists.

(PRWEB) June 13, 2002

Oxford, UK 10th June, 2002 -- These are tough times for raising investment money, yet one British company has successfully raised just over £4 million ($6 million) from a syndicate of leading venture capital companies from around the world. Oxonica is one of the global pioneers in the exciting new area of Nanotechnology. Nanotechnology involves creating atomic scale products or particles and is a fledgling industry that is generating a lot of media excitement and investment by governments, companies and Venture Capitalists.

Oxonica specialises in the creation of Nanoparticles. Using patented techniques to assemble them, the company produce materials that are only few atoms in size and have innovative chemical and physical properties. The company was spun out from the University of Oxford in 1999 and draws on many man-years of research in applied Nanotechnology to give it a leading position in the industry. As a result, it is already conducting field trials for products that address real life problems in a number of areas such as catalysis, medical diagnostics, healthcare and personal care (e. g. cosmetics). The positive results coming back from the trials mean that Oxonica is set to become one of the few Nanotechnology companies in the world to achieve a significant revenue stream in the very near future.

This is the first round of institutional investment for Oxonica; prior investment has been from private investors. “The demand was very intense, which is quite an achievement in these challenging times,” explained Dr. Kevin Matthews, OxonicaÂ’s CEO. “It is a testament to the strength of OxonicaÂ’s world-class technology and, most importantly, its ability to generate real volume product sales in the near term investors want to see a quick route to revenue these days. I believe Oxonica now has the funding in place to carry us through the next stages of commercialisation of our technology and to achieve a robust leadership position in the world Nanotechnology market.”

The VC firms investing in this round are VCF Partners, BASF Venture Capital GmbH, NextGen Partners LLC, Northern Venture Managers and Generics Asset Management Ltd of The Generics Group on behalf of British Smaller Technology Companies VCT2 Plc. “These VC firms specialise in high technology,” added Dr Matthews. “We are delighted to have such strong investors who really understand our technology and its capabilities and therefore can see the tremendous potential that we have to become a major international company. This round not only provides us with the funds to rapidly grow the company but it is also strategically important as investment in and validation of Oxonica by such leading, well respected companies means that there is already early interest in our future IPO!”

Bernard Fairman, Managing Partner at VCF which represents Foresight Technology VCT and TriVest VCT and took the co-ordinating lead for the investment, commented, “Oxonica is one of the few Nanotechnology companies that is turning ideas into real commercial products. The company is unusual in that it has very strong fundamental patents that enable it to deploy its specialist Nanotechnology skills across a very wide range of applications unlike most other Nanotechnology companies that are focussed on niche areas of specialisation. Oxonica has a tremendous sphere of influence for its technology that is leveraged still further by licensing its intellectual property to third parties to generate even greater revenues. This gives it a unique position in the Nanotechnology world and we believe this will make Oxonica one of the global leaders.”

Peter Grubstein, Managing Partner of the NextGen Enabling Technology Fund LP, which is a corporately backed strategic investment fund focused exclusively on materials science, added, “NextGen expects to accelerate OxonicaÂ’s time to commercial development by deploying the talents of our core group of strategic limited partners and world class team of venture partners. We are particularly impressed by the way that the company can use its skills as an enabling technology platform to rapidly prototype Nanoparticle solutions to new problems across a whole range of applications. This is a tremendous market advantage for them.”

Oxonica is the first direct investment by BASF Venture Capital GmbH. “We donÂ’t just consider ourselves to be providers of capital. Rather we view ourselves as strategic partners,” says Dr. Beate Ehle, Technical Managing Director at BASF Venture Capital GmbH. “OxonicaÂ’s activities fit ideally with our own activities for example in performance and fine chemicals and fit exceptionally well into BASFÂ’s know-how Verbund.” Verbund is the German for integration.

Skincare Supplements That Really Make a Difference: Seven Vitamins for Healthy Skin Care

Skincare Supplements That Really Make a Difference: Seven Vitamins for Healthy Skin Care

Curious about ways to take skincare beyond cleansing and moisturizing? In a new article, Skincare-News. com investigates the role of supplements that can actually help the skin.

Sacramento, CA (PRWEB) May 19, 2009

Many people take a daily vitamin to keep their bodies healthy. But some supplements might improve the skin's health, too. Skincare-News. com's latest article, "7 Supplements to Boost Skin" discusses seven vitamins and minerals that deliver powerful skin care benefits.

Http://skincare-news. com/a-2193-7_Supplements_to_Boost_Skin. aspx (http://skincare-news. com/a-2193-7_Supplements_to_Boost_Skin. aspx)

Vitamins versus minerals
Vitamins are organic substances made by plants or animals. They help enzymes carry out chemical processes in the body. Vitamins fall into two categories: fat-soluble and water-soluble. Fat-soluble vitamins dissolve in the body's fat and are then stored. Water-soluble vitamins need water to dissolve. Although they're absorbed by the body, water-soluble vitamins aren't stored, and must be taken daily. Some are even best taken morning and night, like vitamins B and C. Minerals, in contrast, don't come from living plants or animals. Still, they play several important roles in the body, like balancing fluid levels and sending signals from nerves to muscles. Examples of minerals include sodium and potassium.

1. Vitamin A
This antioxidant may decrease free radical and UV damage, which can result in skin aging and wrinkling. Most people get enough vitamin A from their diet, so separate supplements probably aren't necessary. Plus, too much vitamin A -- over 5,000 International Units (IU) daily -- can increase a person's chances for broken hips and liver problems. In addition to supplements, vitamin A is also found in topical acne and anti-wrinkle treatments.

2. Vitamin C
Oral vitamin C minimizes damage from free radicals and UV exposure, which can result in wrinkles and skin cancer. While many skin creams and topical treatments contain vitamin C, there is a much higher concentration of vitamin C in a supplement. Also, vitamin C breaks down once it hits the air.

3. Vitamin E
Vitamin E taken orally could help minimize sun damage and reduce wrinkles. Vitamin E might also make other vitamins -- like A and C -- more effective.

4. Coenzyme Q10
Made naturally by the body, Coenzyme Q10 protects cells from cancer-causing damage. However, production of this antioxidant slows down as people get older. When selecting this supplement, make sure it's in gel cap form, which ensures the body absorbs it properly.

5. Fish oil
Found in fish, essential fatty acids -- like omega-3s and omega-6s -- decrease dryness, irritation and inflammation. Omega-3s in fish oil may also decrease the risk of sunburn and skin cancer

6. Heliocare
Made from fern extract, Heliocare offers protection against sunburn and, like other antioxidants, it's also anti-inflammatory and fights free radicals. To reap its sun protection benefits, people should take two pills 60 minutes before heading outdoors. But never use this supplement in place of sunscreen.

7. Estrogen
Estrogen promotes a youthful complexion. Estrogen supplements might also reverse deep wrinkles, dull skin and tone loss. But, it does have risks. Hormone replacement therapy is a complex treatment and might have serious complications. It's particularly controversial because of its link to uterine and breast cancer.

A Makeup Manual for Sensitive Skin

Whether people have skin that is prone to irritation or have rosacea or eczema, finding beauty products that won't irritate the skin or worsen symptoms can be quite a challenge. Many common cosmetic ingredients, including fragrances and preservatives, can irritate sensitive skin, causing a slew of unpleasant reactions, especially if a person has a condition such as rosacea or eczema. The biggest objective with rosacea is to effectively reduce the appearance of redness without irritating already sensitive skin. Eczema includes a range of persistent skin conditions, characterized by dryness and frequent skin rashes. And unfortunately, many cosmetics can exacerbate these symptoms. Here's how to create an irritation-free makeup routine for beautiful skin.

An Inside Look at Beauty Product Allergies

Beauty products contain countless chemicals that can cause allergic reactions or skin irritations. The symptoms that signal a reaction to a beauty product vary significantly from person to person, making them difficult to diagnose. Allergic reactions and irritations are caused by a wide variety of beauty products and ingredients. Here's what people need to know to develop a sensible strategy for overcoming and avoiding these adverse reactions.

Treating Acne When Your Skin Type is Dry or Sensitive
Http://skincare-news. com/a-5485-Treating_Acne_When_Your_Skin_Type_is_Dry_or_Sensitive_.aspx (http://skincare-news. com/a-5485-Treating_Acne_When_Your_Skin_Type_is_Dry_or_Sensitive_.aspx)

Acne is trying enough, but it's even worse for individuals with dry or sensitive skin. Most topical treatments are designed to dry up excess oil production, which can leave dry complexions with flakey, irritated skin. Worse yet, when skin is irritated, it can contribute to further breakouts. The key is to develop a gentle skincare routine that'll effectively address acne without over-drying. The first step in having clear skin is to adopt a basic skincare system that's ideal for each skin type. At the very least, a skincare regimen should contain a gentle and effective cleanser and a soothing moisturizer. Next, it's important to pick the right acne product for dry or sensitive skin. Here's how to get started.

Http://skincare-news. com/a-5528-Eczema. aspx (http://skincare-news. com/a-5528-Eczema. aspx)

Eczema actually describes a series of skin conditions. Atopic dermatitis is one of the most common with 10 to 20 percent of the world experiencing this chronic condition in childhood. This skin condition is commonly characterized by swelling, dryness, redness, extreme itching and discomfort. The itching may be worse at night-time, causing people to scratch while sleeping. This can be particularly problematic when eczema occurs in infants and young children, who can't stop from scratching. Here are the facts along with how to combat eczema.

3 Ways Yoga Can Improve Your Complexion

Ever wonder why yogis seem to have a natural glow about them? Their skin radiates as if they regularly bathe in dew drops and slumber on rose petals. Yoga is a system of exercise where the body moves through a series of postures that are held for specified periods of time, known as asanas. Advanced asanas can be quite strenuous. Asanas increase blood flow and circulation to skin cells, helping to purge the body of toxins and impurities. Find out how to use yoga to get a glowing and radiant complexion.

Menopause and Your Skin: Reducing Acne and Rosacea
Http://skincare-news. com/a-5606-Menopause_and_Your_Skin_Reducing_Acne_and_Rosacea. aspx (http://skincare-news. com/a-5606-Menopause_and_Your_Skin_Reducing_Acne_and_Rosacea. aspx)

After adolescence, those who struggled with acne cheered at the thought of a clear complexion. But unfortunately, adult acne and rosacea are common skin conditions, especially during the hormone-imbalanced times of menopause. During menopause, hormones fluctuate. Estrogen levels decrease, causing the sebaceous glands -- which produce oil -- to start working overtime. This excess oil on the skin's surface is one factor that leads to acne. The body also works slower to eliminate dead skin cells, which combine with excess oil and clog the pores, causing acne. Find out how to care for the skin in the face of these concerns.

Vitamin C
Http://skincare-news. com/a-5696-Vitamin_C. aspx (http://skincare-news. com/a-5696-Vitamin_C. aspx)

This antioxidant is one of the most effective topical agents against wrinkles, fines lines and photodamage caused by sun exposure. Vitamin C, or L-ascorbic acid, is vital for producing collagen, correcting pigmentation problems and reducing free radicals. Vitamin C offers a multitude of skin benefits, preventing and even reversing damage. Although oral vitamin C is important for overall health, the body eventually flushes it out. So applying topical vitamin C is vital for reaping maximum skincare benefits.

Understanding and Preventing MRSA
Http://skincare-news. com/a-5918-Understanding_and_Preventing_MRSA_.aspx (http://skincare-news. com/a-5918-Understanding_and_Preventing_MRSA_.aspx)

MRSA, or methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, is a type of staph infection that spreads quickly, is tough to treat (though the majority of cases are treatable) and can be fatal. Many people are already carriers. Many different kinds of bacteria are everywhere. Staphylococcus aureus (or "staph") bacteria live on our skin. Generally, such bacteria are harmless and don't cause problems. But if the bacteria enter the body through a skin opening (like a cut, wound or surgical incision), severe infection can result. earn more about MRSA and how to prevent it.

New Research on CLA Points to Greater Weight Management and Lean Muscle Growth for Men

New Research on CLA Points to Greater Weight Management and Lean Muscle Growth for Men

To promote healthier living for men of all ages, MenScience has introduced the Advanced CLA Supplement Formula, a men's daily supplement which provides over 1800 mg of CLA active isomers to help lower body fat content and promote leaner muscle growth.

Miami, FL (PRWEB) February 9, 2007

In a study by the American Heart Association, 136.5 million Americans over the age of 20 were shown to be overweight or obese, with men making up 69.6 million of that number. While possible causes of these weight problems range from genetics to unhealthy food options to less opportunity for exercise, almost all health professionals agree that a regular fitness routine and steady intake of balanced nutritional substances are necessary to stabilize and diminish this growing epidemic. To promote healthier living for men of all ages, MenScience has introduced the Advanced CLA Supplement Formula, a men's daily supplement which provides over 1800 mg of CLA active isomers to help lower body fat content and promote leaner muscle growth.

CLA, or Conjugated Linoleic (pronounced "lin-o-lee-ick") Acid, is a key source of Omega 6 Fatty Acid. Recent scientific research suggests that the ingredient helps lower body fat by increasing the rate of metabolism and the transformation of body fat into energy, while supporting metabolic processes that lead to a net increase in lean muscle mass. CLA is also being tested for the antioxidant role it plays in the body's immunity and cardiovascular processes. Coupled with a healthy, balanced diet and a regular exercise program, Advanced CLA Supplement Formula is an ideal supplement for weight-management and muscle-development routines.

Due to the professional-grade nature of CLA, MenScience Advanced CLA Supplement Formula is packaged in a pharmaceutical style, utilizing dark-colored gelcaps to protect the substance from exposure to sunlight. Advanced CLA Supplement Formula is priced at $34.00 and is available, along with the full line of MenScience Androceuticals, at www. MenScience. com or by calling 1-800-608-MENS. MenScience products can also be found at Barneys New York, Nordstrom and premium retailers and spas in the U. S. and worldwide.

NLN Leadership Conference Features Keynoter Dr. Linda Burnes Bolton. Chapel Hill, NC, January 7-8, 2011

Transforming Leadership to Advance Health: Who Will Answer the Call? will pick up where the IOM report, Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health, leaves off, asking how, in practical terms, thought leaders in nursing can translate the report's recommendations for nursing education into action. Deans, faculty, and other program administrators committed to transformative leadership roles are invited to conference at the William and Ida Friday Center for Continuing Education in Chapel Hill, NC, January 7-8.

New York, NY (PRWEB) November 5, 2010

In the wake of the far-reaching Robert Wood Johnson Foundation-funded report by the Institute of Medicine calling on nurses and nurse educators to transform health care cost, delivery, and access, the National League for Nursing has taken up the baton. Nursing deans, faculty, and other program administrators committed to transformative leadership roles are invited to the NLN's annual Leadership Conference at the William and Ida Friday Center for Continuing Education in Chapel Hill, NC, January 7-8.

Linda Burnes Bolton, DrPH, RN, FAAN, who, with former US secretary of health and human services, Donna Shalala, co-chaired the committee that researched and issued the IOM report, will deliver the keynote speech. Her presentation, at 9:00 am on Friday, January 7, Leading the Way: Who Will Answer the Call?, will be followed by a conversation on the theme of the conference with NLN CEO Beverly Malone, PhD, RN, FAAN.

Dr. Malone will take the podium twice again later that day, first at 1:15 pm in a plenary session entitled Leading with Passion, and then at 3:15 to sum up with Building Consensus: What Are the Top 10 Issues that Emerged Today?

In concurrent sessions throughout the two-day gathering, participants will examine in-depth issues related to organizational systems; leadership processes; the politics of workplace environments; academic-practice partnerships; and the role of public policy in advancing leadership. They will hear more from national experts about the impact of the RWJF-IOM report, as they focus on strategic planning, diversity, and inclusion, and developing personal career plans to advance in organizational leadership.

"As a privileged participant earlier this year in the process that led to the preparation of the RWJF-IOM report, the NLN takes seriously its responsibility to continue the conversation that, based on the NLN's core values of caring, integrity, diversity, and excellence, will lead to transformation of America's health care and therefore, a more secure future for our nation," said NLN president Cathleen Shultz, PhD, RN, CNE, FAAN.

Added Dr. Malone: "As noted in the RWJF-IOM report, nurse educators have a critical role to play in the re-imagined 21st-century health care landscape. In convening this conference, the NLN is responding to a sense of urgency felt by all stakeholders."

Dr. Shultz and Dr. Malone were among those invited to "The Forum on the Future of Nursing: Education," the third in a series of high-level meetings convened by the RWJF and the IOM, the health arm of the National Academy of Sciences. The NLN was one of only 12 pre-selected organizations tapped to offer written and oral testimony outlining the NLN's vision of the future of nursing.

The NLN Leadership Conference is part of an overall leadership initiative, "The NLN Leadership Institute." Its goal is to help develop the leadership and management skills for nurse educators that are so in demand today.

Works With Water Launch a Clinically Proven Solution to Help High Blood Pressure

Works With Water Launch a Clinically Proven Solution to Help High Blood Pressure

A "miracle sachet" of natural ingredients promising to help maintain a healthy blood pressure is launched today. help: blood pressure soluble food supplement contains dairy peptides, which are clinically proven to help control hypertension - or high blood pressure.

(PRWEB) July 16, 2009

A "miracle sachet" of natural ingredients promising to help maintain a healthy blood pressure is launched today. help: blood pressure soluble food supplement contains dairy peptides, which are clinically proven to help control hypertension - or high blood pressure.

Dairy peptides, which occur naturally in dairy foods help maintain a healthy blood pressure by preventing the constriction of blood vessels(1).

One in four middle aged adults suffer from high blood pressure. For the adult population as a whole it is 40% with increasing risk as we get older. According to the Blood Pressure Association there are 16 million people in the UK living with high blood pressure and 5.3million in addition are undiagnosed.

Known as the "silent killer" as there are no easily apparent symptoms, high blood pressure can lead to an increased risk of heart attack, stroke, kidney disease and dementia. Once diagnosed, many people spend the rest of their lives on medication which is usually increased as the patient gets older.

Studies have shown that 0.75g per day of hydrolysed milk protein is sufficient to show clinically relevant effects in both hypertensives and mild hypertensives. Each 4g sachet of help: blood pressure contains 0.38g of Dairy Peptides which contributes half of the required daily dose. It is recommended that help: blood pressure is consumed twice a day for a minimum of four weeks in conjunction with a healthy diet and a reduced salt intake.

The majority of us will suffer from hypertension (high blood pressure) at some point during our lifetime. There are many factors that can lead to elevated blood pressure levels such as poor lifestyle or simply genetic predisposition, but one of the most common is the restriction of blood vessels triggered by the hormone angiontensin 11. ACE causes blood vessels to constrict and narrow, effectively raising blood pressure.

Developed specifically for those with mild hypertension, help: blood pressure acts as a natural blocker of this reaction. When the restriction is inhibited, elevation of blood pressure can be prevented and kept at a healthy level.

Available in a flavourless soluble powder that can be added to any hot or cold drink or soft food of choice, help: blood pressure is free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives and is suitable for vegetarians, diabetics and those who are lactose intolerant.

Help: blood pressure contains only naturally derived, non-prescription ingredients; dairy peptides (0.38g) and Oligofructose (3.62g), which is a natural source of soluble fibre.

Help: blood pressure is not intended for use as a replacement for medication that is prescribed in hypertension treatment. There are no adverse side effects and whilst it is effective in helping control elevated blood pressure it does not adversely affect normal blood pressure.

Help: blood pressure is available from July 2009 in trial packs (14 sachets) priced at £12.99 or a months supply (60 sachets) at £54.99.

Higher Term Life Insurance Premiums Predicted

Higher Term Life Insurance Premiums Predicted

Naperville Native Helps Clients Slash Expected Rise in Term Life Insurance Costs

Naperville, IL (PRWEB) May 1, 2009

According to Michael Fry of TermDog. com (http://www. termdog. com/), term life insurance premiums are predicted to rise 5 to 10 percent over the next year. This is due in part to the higher reserve requirements for life insurance companies. Fry, a native of Naperville and lifetime resident of DuPage County, is concerned about this rate increase. He's already working to help his clients combat higher term life insurance premiums through his new website, TermDog. com (http://www. termdog. com/insurance-101/).

Fry, an insurance professional since 1987, understands the need to save money on term life insurance without sacrificing coverage. He also knows that the average person can be easily confused by the jargon of the insurance world and be mislead into purchasing the wrong policy. That's why he's fulfilling a dream to help others cut their insurance costs while providing them with a better understanding of the language of the industry.

At TermDog. com, Fry offers free easy access to educational articles and an online term life insurance quote system (http://www. termdog. com/2009/04/13/what-is-term-life-insurance/). He also provides answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs), and a variety of relevant information to help site visitors recognize the differences in insurance policies, choose the type of insurance to best meet their needs, and even understand how insurance rates are determined based on health, age and other factors.

Fry has been a top life insurance producer for many years. As the principal of Steward Financial Services, a planning firm that specializes in financial stewardship advice, Michael has also trained other financial advisors throughout the country and has offered free debt counseling to many people referred to him by area churches. He understands the world of finance and the struggle that people face in stretching their money to meet their needs. That's why he created TermDog. com which focuses on providing money saving services and advice in a simple user-friendly format.

This father of three is very involved in Calvary Church of Naperville, and is a loyal supporter of Junior Achievement.

FieldTurf Responds to EPA Field Monitoring Study on Synthetic Turf and Playgrounds

FieldTurf Responds to EPA Field Monitoring Study on Synthetic Turf and Playgrounds

Leading artificial turf maker FieldTurf pointed to the much anticipated research from the EPA out today on synthetic turf as further evidence of the safety of synthetic turf fields and playgrounds.

Montreal, Canada (Vocus) December 11, 2009

Leading artificial turf maker FieldTurf pointed to the much anticipated research from the EPA out today on synthetic turf as further evidence of the safety of synthetic turf fields and playgrounds.

“We are pleased by the thorough nature of the research conducted and findings that demonstrate the strong safety profile of artificial turf fields,” commented FieldTurf President Eric Daliere. “These EPA findings add to a significant body of evidence including research from the Consumer Product Safety Commission, environmental and health agencies within the states of California and New York, along with numerous studies out of academia and World Health Organizations.”

The EPA’s ‘Scoping-Level Field Monitoring Study of Synthetic Turf Fields and Playgrounds’ was conducted to….
Gain experience conducting multi-route field monitoring of recreational surfaces that contain tire crumb by evaluating readily available methods for measuring environmental concentrations of tire crumb constituents; and

Generate limited field monitoring data that will be used by EPA to help the Agency determine possible next steps to address questions from the public regarding the safety of tire crumb infill in recreational fields.

The complete EPA study can be downloaded at the following link: http://www. epa. gov/nerl/features/tire_crumbs. html

With regard to the study goals, FieldTurf executives were both pleased with the results of the testing and for that matter the validation of numerous existing testing methods. The latter of which should result in more appropriate methods of testing for others that will choose to do their own evaluations in the future. The past utilization of inappropriate testing procedures has in select studies yielded inaccurate results, lending doubt to the safety profile of turf.

RepliWeb Managed File Transfer v.2.4 Released : RepliWeb MFT v.2.4 Cuts Down on Administration Headaches and Delivers Simple, Secure File Transfer to Organizations of All Sizes

RepliWeb, a leader in web content and application deployment automation, SharePoint synchronization, and managed file transfer, today announced the release and immediate availability of RepliWeb Managed File Transfer (RMFT) version 2.4. Key enhancements include a new desktop client, an integration module for SharePoint, and improved process monitoring tools.

COCONUT CREEK, Fla. (PRWEB) October 15, 2008

RMFT v.2.4 addresses the needs of business users and IT administrators who want to simplify, manage and secure the way their organizations share and exchange information with external parties.

Whereas managed file transfer (MFT) was once a high cost, complex solution limited to large, global companies, RMFT now brings secure, audited file delivery at an affordable price to organizations of all sizes. "The need for affordable, highly functional MFT solutions has never been stronger," commented Yossi Moriel, CEO RepliWeb. "Organizations of all sizes, spanning industries like finance, healthcare, telecom and manufacturing have turned to RMFT for its interoperability, configurability, scalability and most important – affordability advantages over other managed file transfer solutions. We continue to focus on improving the way end users engage MFT and on streamlining the daily operations of our products."

"The interest in managed file transfer is remarkable. It's a concern of organizations of all sizes," said Carol Baroudi, Sr. Research Analyst, Aberdeen Group. Issues driving market adoption are: data loss and regulatory requirements to track sensitive data delivery; an increase in file size which challenge FTP and Email as delivery methods; and a wide-spread cry for greater ease of use in managing file transfer processes. Best of breed MFT solutions are addressing these issues and more."

RMFT v.2.4 delivers the core usability, manageability, integration, security and transfer acceleration capabilities that are important to today's information-enabled organization:

Usability - RMFT offers a familiar, intuitive Web UI and new Desktop Client that simplifies transfer processes for end users, while allowing IT to define and enforce security policies. The desktop client offers "right-click send" and "drag and drop" package creation, further streamlining the building and sending of packages.

Integration - RMFT is easy to integrate into day-to-day workforce activities, business processes and workflows. Pre/Post Transfer processing, an integrated CLI, and Web services APIs position RMFT as one of the most extensible MFT solutions in the market. RMFT 2.4's SharePoint Connector enables Web Client users to transparently upload/download files to/from SharePoint sites, without being granted SharePoint access rights. This module can also be used to automate the delivery of files from a SharePoint repository to external users or hosts.

Security - RMFT's open security architecture supports a wide variety of industry transfer protocols, encryption algorithms, content filtering, virus scanning and watermarking processes allowing RMFT-enabled organizations to engage partners with varying security policies. RMFT is also available with a DMZ front-end for internal-external file transfer architectures.

Transfer Acceleration - Large file sizes are now common place. RMFT's Large File Accelerator delivers gig+ files up to 10x faster than FTP allowing organizations to meet tight transfer delivery deadlines.

To request a free RMFT evaluation, take a test drive, or for more information, visit the RepliWeb Managed File Transfer product page.
