Ringing Cedars Propose the Best Solution for the Food Crisis: A Global Vision for an Attainable, Sustainable Future

Ringing Cedars Propose the Best Solution for the Food Crisis: A Global Vision for an Attainable, Sustainable Future

The Ringing Cedars Readers Conference with author Vladimir Megre attracted individuals and groups from Russia, the Ukraine, the USA, Canada, Lithuania, Latvia, Belarus, Romania, Slovenia, Sweden, Iraq, Kuwait, the UK, Hungary, Cypress, Greece, Georgia, Armenia, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Croatia and Australia. Vladimir Megre is the author of the best-selling book series Ringing Cedars and he and his writings are a tangible inspiration to millions of readers. A recurring theme throughout all of the books is the personal, social and spiritual power which ensues when an individual or family create what Megre calls their "Kin's Domain". The definition of this term is a hectare (2.5 acres) of family-land which is developed into a self-sustaining type of Micro Farm which is the best solution for the world food crisis.

New York, NY (PRWEB) December 18, 2008

The Ringing Cedars (http://www. ringingcedarsofrussia. org/Main/English/index. php). This October, only a short distance apart, like-minded individuals and groups devoted to finding sustainable solutions to the global food crisis were meeting at two related venues in Europe. Italy hosted another of its annual Terra Madre gatherings this month, which was inaugurated with written addresses from the Prince of Wales and the Secretary of the United Nations, General Ban Ki-moon. Slow Food and the Terra Madre Foundation were the organizers of this third world meeting of food communities. Turkey was the site of another gathering of people thoughtful about the future of the planet, about nature and intelligent food-production as opposed to the destructive practices motivated by "greed and ignorance," as one participant called it. The latter was promoted under the name Ringing Cedars Readers' Conference (http://www. ringingcedarsofrussia. org/conference).

While the Terra Madre gathering was inspired by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon (with his message that "finding long-term solutions to the world food crisis was one of the priorities of the United Nations", and that he welcomed "initiatives which contribute to such solutions"), the Ringing Cedars Conference, at another coast of the Mediterranean Sea in Turkey, called themselves the "Uniting Nations", in appreciation of the numerous countries represented at the meeting, and their mutual, global concerns for the Earth and its inhabitants.

These developments are commonly undertaken as part of an eco-village and celebrate life and freedom from the unnatural pressures and stresses of modern life, while enjoying the comforts and benefits of helpful technologies. Eco-villages (http://www. ringingcedarsofrussia. org/theearth/ringing-cedars-newspaper-interview-vladimir-megre-part2-2008-oct. html#n2) are oftentimes found close to large cities, so people who still like to travel to their work can live in loving and nurturing environments while continuing their "city-commitments", which might even include a small indoor food-garden in a city-apartment.

Over 300 Kin's Domain eco-villages have been developed or are in various stages of development, all inspired by Megre's own inspiration - namely a young, beautiful recluse woman who has lived her entire life by herself in the harsh environment of the Siberian Taiga - Anastasia.

Anastasia is the title of the first book in the Ringing Cedars of Russia series and the name under which over eleven million readers discuss her theories affectionately. In twenty-two languages world-wide, the readers of the series learn that Anastasia had initially met up with Vladimir Megre at the river Ob in Siberia in 1994 (http://www. ringingcedarsofrussia. org/vladimir_megre_ringing_cedars_story. php). She shared her deep wisdom with him for three days, and permanently changed his life. Megre was a successful and affluent business-man at the time. However, after his time with Anastasia, he began clumsily and miraculously to turn himself into an author, one best-selling volume at a time.

In an amazing synchronicity, Prince Charles' inspirational statement for the Italian gathering emphasized that the solution to the current global food crisis, and its ensuing problems, rested largely with what he called "truly sustainable" farming. He also emphasized how crucial it was for the voices of the participants to be heard in the global debates concerning these issues. As quoted from the transcript of his message, he was "enormously encouraged that so many people are today recognizing the benefits of working with nature and harnessing positive forces through healthy soil, healthy crops and healthy animals in order to provide healthy food." And in addressing the sustainable farming community, he expressed "nothing but my greatest admiration for all you stand for." He called sustainable farmers "guarantors of our long-term food security, based upon your dedicated care of the natural environment."

Dr. Regina Jensen, a Santa Barbara psychotherapist, attended the Turkey conference. She is an independent writer and editor of the new Space of Love Magazine (https://www. ringingcedarsofrussia. org/store. php? id=sol01), with publisher and co-editor Yuri Smirnov. The magazine, in print and online, is one of many international publications supporting the Ringing Cedars movement. Dr. Jensen attended the gathering to conduct interviews with Anastasia author, Vladimir Megre. The center of her interest with this interview, she said, was the ideas offered by this "inspiring movement," namely Anastasia's and Megre's ability to not only inspire, but inspire-to-action so many thousands of people world-wide.

"Most of us know what we should do, or not do, to help save this planet from the thoughtless destruction we have wrought upon it," said Jensen. "But until the Ringing Cedars of Russia information came along - translated into English only a few years ago - we have been unable to find true inspiration, a global vision which would not only inspire, but would also truly transform our endangered planet in a relatively short time. There is something about this wonderful information which has the potential to awaken humanity, which 'Wows' the Soul, as Mark Victor Hansen (co-author with Jack Canfield of the Chicken Soup for the Soul) put it for me when sharing his own experience of the Ringing Cedar books (http://www. ringingcedarsofrussia. org/store. php? id=listof_2books)."

Dr. Jensen does not make such claims lightly. For some time now, the focal point of her concerns continue to lead her in the direction of sustainability. In that quest, she recently visited Sepp Holzer's International Permaculture center in Austria, Krameterhof, where she found confirmation of the Ringing Cedars information. The Permaculture Center has gained world-renown for its ability to thrive in a very inhospitable climate, with luscious and unusual crops grown on heretofore barren soil. Sepp Holzer, (the owner and nature-genius who has proven that anyone can build a self-sustaining paradise and feed his family, regardless of where they live) besides running the center, now teaches and consults globally.

Anastasia and Megre firmly believe that such a Space of Love, a Kin's Domain, will not only offer food, shelter and true freedom, but also a "connection with the Universe" which bestows spiritual strengths and powers by way of a re-connection with universal energies (http://www. ringingcedarsofrussia. org/theearth/vladimir_megre_conference_zurich_2008_may. html#world112). Notably, Megre often discusses the energies of the plant-kingdom, which, he feels, have been tragically ignored, abused and underestimated. In his books, Anastasia apparently also describes a method with which the plant-kingdom can be engaged to produce food which develops specifically to help an individual to correct health challenges.

The global vision of finding ways to resolve the food crisis, either through re-developing inexpensive waste-lands, through government programs of leasing or land-trusts, or by simple land purchases is "as brilliant as it is simple," as one follower has described the concept. Historically, the Russian Dacha Gardens, the German Schrebergaerten, and the American Victory Gardens are examples of families having provided wholesome food - and life - for themselves even during times of economic hardship and food crisis by way of food-gardening. In some regions, the government is helping people without the financial means to obtain such dreams. Jensen adds that her own family has enjoyed such a family-plot for 56 years, which is still feeding the family with fruits and vegetables.

The Austrian Krameterhof (though outstanding in its beauty and fabled climate, and created by way of intelligent harvesting of water, use of large rocks for warmth and novel application of grading and use of plantings) is not the only Permaculture center which is inspiring people who fear that the land they have available is too dry or barren. Geoff Lawton of the Australian Permaculture center, in a celebrated effort in Jordan, showed that "you can make a paradise anywhere" when he "greened" the desert in an area where the parched, salinity-stressed ground was so hard, dry and dead that even the locals were laughing at the idea (greeningthedesert. com). Lawton's demonstration of the intelligent use of water-harvesting and what he calls "swales" is yet another seemingly miraculous transformation, which is deeply encouraging.

"Megre's books," says Dr. Jensen (http://www. ringingcedarsofrussia. org/theearth/ringing-cedars-winds-of-change-2008-august. html#1), "describe a vision of plan which can resolve many problems our modern civilization faces today. The health, cultural, resource energy, financial and food crisis may all be restrained and solved without a huge investment and new technologies, but only with the help of wise laws, which will free the land for the people."

"The whole world can be a paradise," of growing and blooming parcels of land, tendered by loving families, one hectare at a time. Whether people live in Italy or Turkey, Russia or Germany, America or Australia, or any of the other wonderful countries which were represented at the Turkey conference, we really need very little, "...but it needs to be the right thing. Wholesome food, uninjured nature, good loving friends, family and neighbors, and a safe and clean environment is what most of us truly want. We now have blueprints to create just that - in a very short time - as enough people have demonstrated."

Hospitals Can Now Offer Their Employees the Option of Self-scheduling Their Shifts with RES-Q® Labor Resource Management

Hospitals Can Now Offer Their Employees the Option of Self-scheduling Their Shifts with RES-Q® Labor Resource Management

Self-scheduling with RES-Q’s software improves employees’ job satisfaction.

Calabasas, CA (PRWEB) July 11, 2006

With the nationwide nursing shortage and competition for other skilled health professionals, hospitals face difficult workforce management challenges. They need innovative solutions to improve morale and boost retention rates. Self-scheduling, an optional module in RES-Q® Labor Resource Management from RES-Q® Healthcare Systems, enables hospitals to respond by empowering nurses and other employees with greater control over their work schedules. “For more than 25 years, our labor resource management software has delivered results that hospitals count on to maximize productivity: faster scheduling, reduced use of costly overtime and agency staff, and more consistency in the application of scheduling rules,” said Michael Meisel, president and chief executive officer, RES-Q Healthcare Systems. “Now, self-scheduling offers a practical option to improve employee satisfaction.”

“Self-scheduling with RES-Q Labor Resource Management, including staff access to the system from home, enhances employee job satisfaction by enabling our staff to view open shifts and then schedule or swap shifts,” said Susan Sayari, R. N., executive director of nursing, Covenant Health System, Lubbock, Texas.

Registered users sign on to the RES-Q Self-scheduling Module with their passwords and access a security-controlled console, designed to be as simple as a bank ATM interface. The console presents three options: My Personnel Record, which users can access to update basic personnel information, such as addresses and phone numbers; Schedule Requests; and Class Registration for self-registration in continuing medical education.

With shift codes and descriptions specific to each department, Schedule Requests presents a grid that displays all shifts and all employees who can be scheduled. Cells within the grid are color-coded. For instance, shifts short of staff are highlighted in red. Employees can quickly view their department’s schedules and click on the shifts they want to request. RES-Q Labor Resource Management applies the department’s scheduling rules (for instance, to prevent more than two employees to schedule vacations on any given day). If an employee is scheduled for a shift that they would like a colleague to work for them, they right-click on that cell in the grid. A “shift pick-up” request is automatically e-mailed to all employees in their department, and the shift changes color on the grid. The department manager signs on to the management view in the module to review and approve requests and finalize schedules. E-mail messages are then automatically formatted and sent to employees’ work and home e-mail addresses with their schedules.

About RES-Q® Healthcare Systems

Since 1979, RES-Q® Healthcare Systems (Calabasas, Calif.) has pursued one mission: advancing resource management and scheduling software for hospitals. RES-Q® Labor Resource Management produces clinically sound, skill-matched, financially optimized, and productive staffing in schedules that account for staff preferences. RES-Q® Perioperative Resource Management reviews and verifies surgeon needs and preferences, personnel and equipment requirements, supply lists and inventory, and operating room availability and then establishes surgery schedules that minimize conflicts and maximize productivity. RES-Q’s management team, with an average of 15 years with the company and decades of front-line experience in hospital administration, helps hospitals set their schedules for today and set course for success tomorrow. Award given annually to individuals and companies whose contributions enhance our nation’s homeland security.

Surgeon Uses New Acupressure Technique to Lower Surgery Risk

Surgeon Uses New Acupressure Technique to Lower Surgery Risk

Stress can be a major risk factor in any surgical procedure, increasing the need for sedating drugs and causing complications. Eric Robins, MD uses EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) as an effective stress-management tool for preventing pre-surgical stress and speeding post-operative healing.

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) May 9, 2006

Almost everyone who’s scheduled for surgery experiences at least a few symptoms of anxiety. But while some stress is normal, patients who experience severe anxiety actually increase their need for sedating drugs and subsequent complications such as severe pain, slower wound healing, and increased risk of infection, adverse drug reactions, cognitive impairment, and longer hospital stays.

According to Los Angeles surgeon Eric Robins, MD, there’s a simple way to reduce these risks by reducing the anxiety that causes them. His prescription is EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), a simple do-it-yourself procedure that combines gentle fingertip tapping on key acupuncture points with focused thought.

“Stress is a real problem in health and healing,” says Dr. Robins. “but it doesn’t just complicate surgery, it actually contributes to disease. Most of the problems that send people to surgeons are themselves linked to stress, anxiety, or past traumas. I like EFT because it’s easy to demonstrate, easy to learn, works fast, and addresses an illness’s underlying factors. In some cases, it works so well that we have to cancel the operation.”

One of Dr. Robins’ patients was scheduled for surgery because she wasn’t able to void urine after a knee replacement. During her pre-op exam, Dr. Robins wondered whether emotional factors might be interfering with the function of her bladder.

She answered that stress from her husband’s recent illness might be a factor. “Even though we were talking in a busy medical clinic with many distractions,” says Dr. Robins, “I taught her EFT and guided her through 10 minutes of tapping. After we filled the patient’s bladder with water and removed her catheter, she voided just fine. Five days later she was still doing well, making the surgery unnecessary. Her symptoms never returned.”

When surgery is needed, he says, EFT can reduce or eliminate pre-op nerves, reduce the patient’s need for anesthetics, speed recovery, and improve the procedure’s outcome.

Reducing a patient’s need for sedating drugs is important not only to those with drug sensitivities but to America’s aging population. According to the American Society of Anesthesiologists, over half of patients age 60 and older experience confusion and other symptoms of cognitive impairment when discharged after surgery, and three months later, over a third continue to be adversely affected. Patients undergoing heart surgery, joint replacement, or fracture repair are at greatest risk of anesthesia-related mental decline.

Gary Craig, the Stanford-trained engineer who developed EFT, has collected thousands of reports from EFT practitioners around the world. “Several describe how by reducing their anxiety, patients reduced and in some cases eliminated their need for epidurals and other drugs or procedures,” he says. “Others demonstrate how EFT speeds recovery and helps patients regain their full range of motion and resume their normal activities.”

“EFT is one of my favorite healing tools,” says Dr. Robins. “It’s the perfect complement to conventional medicine, and I strongly recommend it for anyone getting ready for surgery.”

Complete instructions for using EFT are provided in the free EFT Manual, which over 300,000 have downloaded from the EFT website. Another 10,000 download it each month. The manual, which has been translated by volunteer practitioners into nine languages, explains the basics so that anyone can begin applying EFT right away. It can be freely downloaded at

Actress Susan Sarandon And Actor/Rapper Mos Def Support The 4th Annual Children's Sports & Fitness Expo In New York City To Combat Childhood Obesity

Actress Susan Sarandon and Actor/Rapper Mos Def have agreed to lend their names as Honorary Co-Chairs to the 4th annual Children's Sports & Fitness Expo, which will take place on Saturday, September 29, 2007. The Expo was created to combat childhood obesity by engaging children in over 25 sports activities and nutrition classes.

New York, NY (PRWEB) July 23, 2007

Actress Susan Sarandon and Actor/Rapper Mos Def have agreed to lend their names as Honorary Co-Chairs to the 4th annual Children's Sports & Fitness Expo, which will take place on Saturday, September 29, 2007. The Expo was created to combat childhood obesity by engaging children in over 25 sports activities and nutrition classes.

According to the New York City Department of Health, 43% of New York City school children are either overweight or obese. To combat this problem, Vincent Ferguson, president and founder of Body Sculpt of New York, Inc., a not-for-profit health and fitness organization, created the Children's Sports & Fitness Expo.

The Children's Sports & Fitness Expo is a tri-state event that introduces children to over 25 sports activities, nutrition classes and health screenings - free of charge. Through this annual event, families can gain exposure to activities, programs and services that will help them to become more physically fit, thereby reducing the risk of obesity in their lives.

"I am delighted to host the 4th annual Children's Sports & Fitness Expo in New York City. Each year, the event gets bigger and better. This year we are very excited about Actress Susan Sarandon and Actor/Rapper Mos Def lending their names as Honorary Co-Chairs to the event. With their support, we hope to bring more attention to the fact that one in 3 children born since 2000 will get diabetes and according to the New England Journal of Medicine, children will lose 3 to5 years off of their lives because of obesity. This is a call to action," states Ferguson.

The 4th annual Children's Sports & Fitness Expo will take place on Saturday, September 29, 2007 from 10:00 a. m. to 6:00 p. m. at the 369th Harlem Armory Center and Minisink Townhouse located at West 142nd Street between 5th and Lenox Avenues. Over 40 fitness instructors will donate their time to instruct children in golf, tennis, fencing, gymnastics, soccer, boxing, martial arts, dance, yoga, baseball, basketball and much more.

After independently financing the Children's Sports & Fitness Expo for the past 3 years predominantly with his own funds, Mr. Ferguson has been instrumental in securing limited financial support from a few socially conscious companies. Given the previous years' attendance, Mr. Ferguson expects at least 5,000 children and parents to attend this year's event, which will ultimately raise the cost to produce the event. Mr. Ferguson is currently seeking additional financing as well as community partners who would like to join his efforts in combating the childhood obesity epidemic. The Children's Sports and Fitness Expo already has a proven track record of being able to serve as a worthwhile intervention that can contribute to behavior modification and increased awareness about the importance of regular physical activity.

U. S. Navy veteran Vincent Ferguson, is also a certified personal trainer and author of SIX WEEKS TO A SIX PACK and the recently published GET READY! GET SET! GET FIT! A Guide to Developing Youth Fitness.

New Website Promotes the Health and Fitness Benefits of Mini-trampoline Exercise

New Website Promotes the Health and Fitness Benefits of Mini-trampoline Exercise

Mini-trampoline exercise or "rebounding" -- a fun, low-impact exercise that puts gravitational force to work on every cell in the body -- helps everyone, including people with mental and physical disabilities, diabetes, hepatitis C, immune deficiency disorders and osteoporosis, get the jump on health and fitness.

Carson City, NV (PRWEB) September 13, 2006

Is it just an attempt to make health and fitness fun, or can bouncing up and down on a mini-trampoline really cure all manner of ailments?

Eliot Seal, a certified "reboundologist" who recently launched Jump4health. com (http://www. jump4health. com), a website dedicated to promoting the health benefits of mini-trampoline exercise (http://www. jump4health. com), and who also works with people with mental and physical disabilities, says "rebounding" is more than just the latest health and fitness craze.

"Everyone can benefit from rebounding," he said. "It offers more health benefits than any other form of exercise."

Most people use rebounding for a fun, aerobic exercise without stress to the feet, knees and back but Seal says it offers much more than that.

According to Seal, rebounding strengthens every cell in the body. "The gravitational force that occurs when bouncing causes each cell to grow stronger," he said. "That means all the muscles are strengthened and toned at the same time -- shoulders, back, arms, chest, abdomen, buttocks, thighs, calves, even bones and connective tissue."

Indeed, NASA has recognized rebounding's benefits as part of its studies into zero-gravity in space.

Seal, who teaches rebound exercise (http://www. jump4health. com/index. php? main_page=just_bounce) classes at the Quan Yin Healing Center, a traditional Chinese medicine clinic and community center located in San Francisco's Mission District, says rebounding can even help people with diabetes, hepatitis C, osteoporosis and those suffering from immune deficiency disorders.

"The gentle bouncing movement opens the one-way channels of the lymph nodes," Seal said. "This encourages the flow of lymphatic fluid and allows harmful bacteria, toxins, viruses and cell debris to be released and eliminated along with the body's natural waste."

A former competitive speed skater, Seal attributes rebounding to his complete recovery from a debilitating and painful back injury.

"I felt I was rapidly declining into old age," Seal said. "Rebounding gave back my health and vitality, improved my mental well-being and helped me get back into shape."

Rebounding's health benefits are also applauded by Seal's clients and people recovering from illness.

Arnold Manalang of Martinez, CA, had heart bypass surgery a year ago. He says gently bouncing on his rebounder for a few minutes a day has helped him recover from his surgery.

And Denise Schwartz of Solana, CA, who has been rebounding for about four months, attributes rebounding to reducing the size of a lipoma (fatty tissue) on her back.

"I haven't changed a thing in my diet so I know it's from the rebounding I do everyday," she said.

Although trampolines are often linked to injuries, especially in children, rebounders are small -- around 40 inches in diameter and only ten inches off the ground -- so injuries are less likely.

But Seal says to be beware of purchasing cheap rebounder trampolines sold at discount stores.

"The construction of the rebounder is very important," he said. "A broken spring or a faulty hinge can lead to injuries."

Seal, who says he's personally tested and reviewed all rebounder brands, only recommends two: Needak and Dave Hall. The popular Urban Rebounder failed to meet Seal's standards for safety and performance.

Seal recommends that people who are just starting out purchase a rebounder with a stabilizing bar to help with balance and coordination.

"Rebounding offers so much to so many people," Seal said. "It's fun, but more importantly, it works."

Monumental Vending Unveils New Brand Identity

Monumental Vending Unveils New Brand Identity

Vision North America Creates New Branding for Monumental Vending Trucks, Web Site, Brochures and Uniforms

Washington, DC (PRWEB) March 13, 2006 –-

Monumental Vending (www. MonumentalVending. com), a leading vending service company providing healthy snacks and beverages to corporations, organizations, universities and high schools in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC, unveiled its new brand identity.

Monumental Vending hired Vision North America (www. VisionNorthAmerica. com) to design, write and develop the company’s new logo, tagline, truck signage, web site, brochures, uniforms, business cards and envelopes.

“When communicating to customers, impressive and memorable sales materials are essential,” said David Gordon, Managing Partner of Monumental Vending. “We want the customer to recognize our brand consistently, whether they visit our Web site, speak with our route drivers or see our trucks pull up in their parking lots. New sales and marketing materials present Monumental Vending and its services in a sophisticated, intelligent, finely tuned, consistent manner.”

Added Craig Kushner, President of Monumental Vending, “The sales materials designed by Vision North America are both eye-catching and informative. They present a prospective customer with the most compelling reasons to consider our company for vending services.”

Vision North America produced a unique branding theme for Monumental Vending. Designing the logo and choosing new corporate colors was the first step in the process. Then, the brochures and Web site were written and designed. In addition, Vision developed uniforms and created a company tagline, which is a concise phrase or slogan positioned under or alongside the logo.

The new Monumental Vending tagline, “Better Service. Happier Customers.™”, communicates a single but compelling brand message that resonates strongly in the Washington Baltimore marketplace. It is used to complement Monumental Vending’s corporate name, philosophy and mission. Not only useful for external marketing communications, this new tagline is used internally to motivate and empower employees and align the external and internal brand.

“First impressions are everything. Monumental Vending’s logo is usually the first visual brand connection with a prospective customer. But a brand goes beyond the logo,” said Joe Preston, partner of Vision North America. “A brand conveys the value and personality of a vending and coffee service company and it’s what differentiates the company from competitors. And most importantly, it exemplifies the customer’s connection with the company and the connection with their values.”

Monumental Vending (www. MonumentalVending. com), a leading independently owned Vending Service Provider (VSP), conveniently offers cold beverages, snacks, coffee, fresh food and other healthy refreshments to its diverse client base in Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia.

Monumental Vending serves corporations, organizations, universities and high schools in VA, MD, DC and PG including: Annapolis, Arundel, Ashburn, Arlington, Alexandria, Baltimore, Belvoir, Bethesda, Bowie, Chantilly, Chevy Chase, Dulles, Dundalk, Falls Church, Fairfax, Gaithersburg, Georgetown, Germantown, Greenbelt, Howard, Jessup, Landover, Loudon, Montgomery, Oakton, Olney, Prince Georges, Rockville, Rosslyn, Silver Spring and Woodbridge.

By combining the latest technology advancements available in the vending industry with an intense dedication to service since 1991, Monumental Vending clearly separates itself from its competition. The Corporate Whistle Blower Center Says There Are Huge Rewards For Specific Information About Corporate Or Medicare Fraud

The Corporate Whistle Blower Center Says There Are Huge Rewards For Specific Information About Corporate Or Medicare Fraud

The Corporate Whistle Blower Center is saying, "Most corporate executives, or employees may know the word whistle blower, but may not know there can be huge rewards for individuals who possess fresh, and significant proof of publicly traded corporations understating their liabilities, or over stating their income, or healthcare professionals who have specific information about any type of fraud involving Medicare, or Medicaid." The group says, "For any type of government subcontractor, from healthcare, to defense-if you know about significant over billing or fraud, the laws are called Qui Tams, and we can show you how they work." They say, "For publicly traded corporate executives, who have inside information about their company lying to their shareholders about significant liabilities, accounting fraud, or shareholder fraud, the whistle blower laws are called Dodd Frank & we can explain these to you in detail. Even the IRS has a very generous reward program for significant tax fraud." The Corporate Whistle Blower Center says, "The bottom line is it can be really lucrative to be a corporate whistle blower, but there are rules. Rule number one the proof, or evidence has to be overwhelming, and rule number two is-the information has to be fresh, and not yet disclosed. If you have proof of significant corporate fraud, or government over billing call us, and we will explain everything to you." For more information please call the Corporate Whistle Blower Center anytime at 866-714-6466, or contact the group via its web site at http://CorporateWhistleblowerCenter. Com

(Vocus/PRWEB) December 02, 2010

The Corporate Whistle Blower Center is encouraging corporate executives, or healthcare professionals to step forward, and get rewarded, if they possess significant proof, and documentation, of publicly traded companies lying to Wall Street about their liabilities, their profits, or any other kind of significant shareholder fraud, or hospitals, nursing homes, pharmaceutical companies, medical device companies, or rehab centers over billing Medicare. The group says, "Why work for an unethical company, when you can get huge rewards for provable information about the wrong doing? The wrong doing has to be significant, and most importantly it has to be fresh-previously not disclosed. If you have this kind of information, please call us for a very confidential interview-we need hero's & if the information is substantial there are potentially huge rewards." The Corporate Whistle Blower Center says, "There is one very important rule with most federal whistle blower programs---you have to keep the information to yourself--you don't tell co-workers, friends, you do not go to the press, or news media, etc. If your information gets leaked before, or during the submission process to the press, or co-workers, your chance at a huge reward may have just evaporated." For more information potential whistle blowers, with information related to significant wrongdoing should contact the Corporate Whistle Blower Center at 866-714-6466, or contact the group via its web site at http://CorporateWhistleblowerCenter. Com

The Corporate Whistle Blower Center want to hear from individuals with very specific, and provable information related to the following areas.
Shareholder Fraud Corporate waste, fraud, abuse, and corruption is today as a big a problem as it has ever been. The Corporate Whistle Blower Center Says, "The new Dodd Frank Consumer Protection laws offer a significant reward program for individuals with specific information about publicly traded companies failing to expose large scale liabilities, or lying about profitability. We know there are 1000's of corporate managers, who have the proof, and they hate the behavior. Call us for a confidential conversation about doing something good for your shareholders, and yourself at the same time."

Healthcare Fraud There may be a substantial reward for healthcare workers, hospital/nursing home employees, pharmaceutical reps, or medical device reps, who have specific information about Medicare, or Medicaid over billing, or fraud. The Corporate Whistle Blower Center says, "It may be Medicare/Medicaid up-coding, or bundling, it may be out of control medical practice groups, like cardiologists, or radiologists, it may be a drug supplier with a kick back program to doctors, or hospitals. If you can prove it, and it is large scale, you might get rich." The laws that govern Medicare fraud are called Qui Tam.

Government Over billing Fraud The Corporate Whistle Blower Center says, "Government subcontractors fleece, or over bill the government on every type of project imaginable-from super fund waste clean up sites, to defense contractors, to low income housing projects, to road, or infrastructure projects. If you have provable, fresh information regarding these types of issues, the rewards can be huge, and we will explain the process to you." The laws the govern federal over billing, or fraud lawsuits are also called Qui Tams.

Tax Fraud Massive tax fraud on the part of major corporations, or individuals costs the US taxpayers $100's of billions of dollars each year. The Corporate Whistle Blower Center says, "The IRS has a very special program for corporate executives, or individuals with specific, and provable information about significant tax fraud. The IRS tax fraud program differs slightly from the Qui Tam reward programs, or the shareholder fraud reward programs covered in the Dodd Frank Consumer Protection Act." For more information please call the Corporate Whistle Blower Center anytime at 866-714-6466.

For more information potential whistle blowers can contact the Corporate Whistle Blower Center anytime at 866-714-6466, for a confidential conversation about the potential wrong doing, or government fraud-over billing. http://CorporateWhistleBlowerCenter. Com

Statement by Dr. Daniel Carucci, Vice President for Global Health for the United Nations Foundation on the Launch of the State of the World's Vaccines and Immunization Report

Statement by Dr. Daniel Carucci, Vice President for Global Health for the United Nations Foundation on the Launch of the State of the World's Vaccines and Immunization Report

Washington, DC (Vocus) October 22, 2009

"The roadmap outlined in the new report on the state of the world's vaccines and immunization launched by the World Bank, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), and the World Health Organization today is exactly what the United Nations Foundation strives to achieve. As a proud partner of the Measles Initiative and the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, we are dedicated to working through our public-private partnerships with the UN, governments, our global partners, and individuals to raise awareness and funds, and to ensure lifesaving measles and polio vaccines and other preventive interventions such as anti-malaria bed nets, vitamin A, and de-worming medicine are provided to children around the world.

"History and experience have taught us that if we fail to invest in new vaccines or if we let up in our fight against diseases that no longer threaten children in the developed world, we can expect vaccine-preventable diseases to continue to kill millions of children each year. Without continued funding and commitment to full immunization, diseases that have been controlled will roar back to claim more lives than ever and millions of children who could otherwise lead healthy lives will suffer.

"Immunizations are critical to reaching our global health goals and to significantly reducing child mortality as stated in Millennium Development Goal 4. Though not all diseases are vaccine-preventable, some of the top killers of children under five years old - pneumonia, diarrhea, and measles-can be averted through immunizations. Vaccines have consistently proven to be the most cost-effective method for preventing infectious diseases worldwide, preventing more than 2.5 million child deaths a year. Vaccines have been responsible for eradicating smallpox, have brought us to the brink of eradicating polio, and during the past decade, have reduced global measles deaths by 74 percent.

"Even in the current economic climate, immunizations are the most cost-effective means to preventing infectious diseases in children. Investing in vaccines is investing in the future of children worldwide. I hope that by 2020, we can proudly say that by our commitments today, and through even greater investments in the future, we will have eradicated polio from the world, we will have eliminated measles in all countries, the world's children will have access to safe, effective and affordable new vaccines, and millions of children each year will be given a chance to lead healthy and productive lives. By working together, we can make this aspiration a reality."

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) October 12, 2007

The passing of Assembly Bill 383 has many local businesses shaking in their boots as they seek new ways of hiring employees. The bill enforces strict penalties on businesses that hire undocumented workers, forcing many to reevaluate their staff. Many questions are being raised by business owners and those illegally employed. It will take effect on October 1st.

Alfredo Martinez, owner of two restaurants, speaks about his employees and the issue at hand. Says Martinez: "They'll show you their social security card, their health card, and their green card. That's what we ask them for and we start from there." Martinez admits when hiring workers, many of them show up with the right documents that could be falsified. Employers can verify the social security numbers of their employees online. Martinez is not too worried about his business, but says he knows several others that will be affected and feels this law will cause more harm than help.

While other business owners are worried that their staff will be depleted as a result of the new law, some are being proactive and seeking help form resources like ImmigrationLawHelp. info, which offer alternatives and solutions for immigrants. Business owners hiring illegal immigrants will hopefully be minimized and controlled. What this means for businesses and the state is on the minds of many people.

Retired – Now what do I do to keep active?

Retired – Now what do I do to keep active?

WeÂ’re a nation of volunteers. From the first settlers, to those who sought out better lives by following Horace GreeleyÂ’s words, 'Go West young man', this nation has been founded on the principles of volunteerism. So how to you get active when youÂ’re retired? You find an activity or hobby that you enjoy and seek out the opportunities that are in your area, related to that activity. One organization that you may find attractive is the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.

(PRWEB) November 30, 2004

Volunteers. From the first settlers, to those who sought out better lives by following Horace Greeley’s words, “Go West young man”, and this nation has been founded on the principles of volunteerism.

Our continental army was volunteers, as were man of our Civil War combatants, on both sides of the Mason-Dixon Line. During the 60Â’s, volunteerism was alive and well, domestically and abroad. Voter registration drives and the Peace Corps come to mind.

Today, the opportunities abound for those who are retired and donÂ’t want to sit home searching for activities to consume their time. An active mind is a healthy mind, and a healthy mind makes a happier person.

According to the National Academy on an Aging Society analysis of data from the 1992 Health and Retirement Study, 58% of the people surveyed who were happy with their retirement were not depressed. Another study, the National Academy on an Aging Society analysis of data from the 1992 Health and Retirement Study showed that participation in social activities were a keystone to keeping oneÂ’s self out of depression.

So how to you get active when youÂ’re retired? You find an activity or hobby that you enjoy and seek out the opportunities that are in your area, related to that activity. One organization that you may find attractive is the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.

The Auxiliary is composed of approximately 38,000 men and women from all walks of life that assist the United States Coast Guard in almost every single aspect of the countries oldest military service. The only two areas we, as uniformed, volunteer civilians can not get involved in, is military action and direct law enforcement activities.

ThatÂ’s a lot of ground that you can get involved in. From serving on Coast Guard Cutters, Helicopters and Jets, to working in Coast Guard Headquarters in Washington, DC, Auxiliarists, if qualified and properly trained can do it all.

Here are some examples of some hobbies and their counterpart in the United States Coast Guard and Coast Guard Auxiliary. Remember, you would be volunteering in the Auxiliary, youÂ’d be a civilian, youÂ’d set your own hours and places youÂ’d want to work, in conjunction with the needs of the Coast Guard.

• Amateur Radio (Ham) – the Auxiliary and the Coast Guard needs trained communicators. On a daily basis, the Coast Guard does and always could use more qualified Watchstanders – these are the people you talk with when you call the Coast Guard on the radio for emergencies and information. The Auxiliary also provides a secondary emergency radio network, as well as a place for social gathering in our off-time.

• Boating – The Auxiliary has a large boat crew program. You see them on the waters, doing safety patrols and Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) patrols. All members who enter the boat crew program must undergo a significant amount of training, but the skills learned are worth it.

Members also have the opportunity to apply for, and train to work on Coast Guard Cutters and patrol boats of all sizes.

• Conservation – The USCG is the primary steward of our oceans. They enforce both fisheries laws as well as environmental laws on our navigable waters. Auxiliarists work hand in hand with their Coast Guard counterparts in every level, except the law enforcement aspect of the large environmental protection aspect fo the Coast Guard Mission.

• Cooking – The Coast Guard is always looking for a few good chefs! In one of our Districts we have even created an Auxiliary Chef School to train and qualify Auxiliarists as Coast Guard Chefs. These people work at Coast Guard Stations throughout the country giving our men and women gustatory pleasure. In the recent Republican National Convention, Auxiliary ChefÂ’s worked round the clock feeding the large number of Active Duty, Reserve and Auxiliary Coast Guard members working at keeping New York and their guests, which included the President and Vice-President safe from water-borne threats.

• Education – The Auxiliary is the primary facilitator of the Coast GuardÂ’s Recreational Boating Safety mission. To this end, Auxiliarists (who have qualified as instructors) teach a myriad of boating safety and navigation courses to hundreds of thousands of students each year.

• Marine Safety – The Coast Guard and Auxiliary spend countless hours protecting our maritime domain. The Auxiliary assists the Coast Guard as acting as their eyes and ears, by conducting Maritime Domain Awareness patrols. Who else knows better then those who live and work in and around our navigable rivers and ports as to what is normal and what is abnormal. The Water Watch program (http://www. cgauxed. org/waterway/ (http://www. cgauxed. org/waterway/) is a major program in the effort to keep our country safe.

• Training – The Auxiliary provides training not only to the public (under our education mission) but to both the Auxiliary itself and the Coast Guard. As someone who has worked their whole life in a particular job function, industry or profession, you have skills that have been honed and sharpened. These skills should not be let to atrophy. You can, and the Coast Guard can use, many of the skills you have to offer.

Almost all the examples required some type of training. And for the greater portion of these training programs, Auxiliarists are the people training Auxiliarists. Some training is given by Auxiliarists on areas that provide an value added benefit to the Coast Guard. An example of this type of training would be Ham Radio classes offered in some areas of the country.

So, youÂ’ve retired. YouÂ’ve worked hard and now you are faced with some hard choices. You can sit at home, and loose touch with the active life you once led or you can make that leap and walk to a computer or a phone book and seek out the contact person at an agency who is looking for volunteers; someone just like you, to assist in their particular mission.

We would hope you would call the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. WeÂ’re on the web at http://www. cgaux. org (http://www. cgaux. org). To find the nearest Flotilla, point your web browser to this page, http://www. cgaux. org/cgauxweb/getzip. html (http://www. cgaux. org/cgauxweb/getzip. html), and scroll down to the bottom, put in your zip code and the five closest FlotillaÂ’s will be presented.

You can also find us by contacting your local Coast Guard (http://www. uscg. mil (http://www. uscg. mil)) unit, which can be found in your local phone book. They will give you the name of the Auxiliarist who can be contacted.

The Auxiliary works 12 months a year, and in some areas 24 hours a day. So instead of sitting at home, why not help keep America safe?

Note: Membership Requirements are over 17 years of age, a US Citizen and pass a Personal Security Check.

MedSave. com Expands Support for Graduating Students

MedSave. com Expands Support for Graduating Students

MedSave. com expanded support for 2006 graduating students who need to replace their health insurance. Online resources are updated to coordinate with national "Cover the Uninsured" week of May 1-7.

Narberth, PA (PRWEB) April 29, 2006

An estimated 4 million graduating high school and college students will be bumped from their parents' health insurance policies within the next two months. Health insurance will not be their top concern at this exciting time of life so parents are cautioned to make sure that alternate insurance is in force. The cost of even a simple uninsured medical procedure could leave a family in debt for years and ruin the credit rating of a young adult. Parents know that even though their graduate is now legally an adult, the cost of an uninsured medical problem at this stage of life will ultimately fall on the parents.

MedSave. com founder Tony Novak announces expanded enrollment support services is now available to 2006 graduates and their families. MedSave. com plans to participate in a number of other activities during the national "Cover the Uninsured" week of May 1-7 designed to increase public awareness of affordable health coverage options.

Updated online resources include a state-by-state listing of health insurance policies that are most often used by graduating students and the following articles:

"Student Health Insurance Tips" explains the advantages and disadvantages of the three types of health insurance used by students and included a list of tips designed to help readers get the most from each type of health insurance. This article is more likely to appeal to parents who may need to compare the various options available.

"Health Insurance Options for Graduating Students" is a shorter article directed toward students who need to get high quality insurance issued quickly using online resources. The article includes a glossary of terms that young adults may need to know when they buy health insurance for the first time.

"Trends in Children's Health Insurance" takes a more academic look at national trends including the success of our national "Insure Kids Now" program and the impact this program is having on the adult population.

Online health insurance enrollment portals will remain open and monitored around the clock with live enrollment support expanded to 16 hours per day during peak enrollment periods. E-mail support requests and confirmation of coverage are addressed within 24 hours. The combination of professional support, affordability, and ease of enrollment make MedSave. com one of the leading providers of health insurance to recent graduates.

Dead Sea Cosmetics -- Skin Care Products Made with Dead Sea Salt Combine Health and Beauty

Dead Sea Cosmetics -- Skin Care Products Made with Dead Sea Salt Combine Health and Beauty

Enriched with over 26 minerals essential to healthy, younger looking skin, The Dead Sea is the source for natural skin care products that bring together beauty and health. The region has been a source of fascination throughout the millennia, dating back to the time of Cleopatra who made this captivating oasis her own personal health spa.

Woodland Hills, CA (PRWEB) November 21, 2005

Every year thousands of tourists flock to the Dead Sea in Israel and Jordan to bathe in the healing waters of the sea. The Dead Sea (http://www. cleopatraschoice. com) region is highly recognized through out the world for its excellent benefits in treating a wide range of dermatological diseases, rheumatic ailments and respiratory disorders.

The main reason for this popularity with skin care conscious people is that the Dead Sea contains the highest concentration of salts and minerals out of every body of water in the world. This high natural presence of minerals essential to a healthy skin, coupled with the fact that The Dead Sea is the lowest point on the face of the earth -- creates a unique environment of natural health benefits. The region has been a source of fascination throughout the millennia, dating back to the time of Cleopatra who made this captivating oasis her own personal health spa. Although the Dead Sea is better known for the recent discovery of the Dead Sea scrolls which have a high religious value and significance, it is quickly becoming very popular for the skin care benefits that Dead Sea cosmetics provide.

There are many skin care and Dead Sea cosmetic (http://www. cleopatraschoice. com) products manufactured using these healthy minerals. These beauty products range from hand and body lotions, to salt scrubs to nail care treatments. The most popular of these home spa products, however, is Dead Sea salt, used in bathing or rubbing onto the skin in the shower. Dead Sea bath salts have been proven to be effective at treating and relieving a wide range of skin ailments – most commonly psoriasis, as well as acne, eczema and dry skin. They also effectively cleanse the skin, while toning and firming it and enriching it with the essential minerals which allow it to maintain it’s natural moisture.

Another popular cosmetic and health product from the Dead Sea are salt scrubs (http://www. cleopatraschoice. com/index. asp? PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=55) which are made with Dead Sea salt. These scrubs have become a popular commodity among skin care enthusiasts due to their excellent exfoliating and moisturizing properties. The scrubs are a combination of Dead Sea salt and aromatic natural oils and are available in various scents and aromas. People who suffer from psoriasis and eczema have found a relief in the famous Dead Sea mud (http://www. cleopatraschoice. com/index. asp? PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=47) which is applied to the affected areas of the skin and can drastically reduce the visible effects of psoriasis and eczema diseases. Due to it’s high mineral content and the fact that it’s an all natural psoriasis treatment (http://www. cleopatraschoice. com/index. asp? PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=63), Dead Sea mud has become a popular way to relieve the dry, itch scaly skin that is associated with psoriasis.

Many Americans are discovering Dead Sea cosmetics (http://www. cleopatraschoice. com/dead-sea-cosmetics. htm) during tourist trips to Israel and visits to the Dead Sea. If they have relatives in Israel, many have their family continue to send them these skin care products (http://www. cleopatraschoice. com) that they have come to love. Fortunately, there are several companies that have now taken on importing these beauty spa products and now offer them direct to their customers in the United States.

“My friend told me that he dipped his arm into Dead Sea mud while on a trip to Israel and it softened and cleared up his psoriasis for a whole week. I decided to try it for myself because I suffer from psoriasis on my elbow. I ordered some mud online and got it in a couple of days. I was surprised because it really worked! I wasn’t cured by any means, but any one who has psoriasis knows that any natural remedy that actually works is our lifesaver.” – says Don Murra of Manhattan Beach, California.
