The Rose Breast Cancer Society (RBCS) will have their 9th annual benefit. This Art Expo/Exhibit, Silent Art Auction and Variety Stage Show, Sunday, May 7, 2006 from 11:00 AM – 9:30 PM at the Celebrity Centre International is located at 5930 Franklin Ave., Hollywood, CA 90028. Come join a day of celebration and wellness.
Ms. Pittman, Founder of RBCS, was recently featured on CBS’ health segment with Dr. Clair, Medical Director of the Vibrance Medical Group in Beverly Hills. She also appeared on “Eclectic Moments” TV show with producer/host Terry E. Scott-Mitchell, airing April 24, 2006 (LA channel 24 and Inglewood 35) at 9:30 PM. Carmelita’s mission is to let women and men know about cutting edge non-invasive, radiation and pain free technology called Infrared Thermography. This procedure can detect cancer up to 10 years before any other procedure.
This year’s theme is “Parade of Angels”. The Art Expo is held in the Franklin Gardens featuring 10 feet tall assemblage angels by Francisco Ramirez with artists and students. Art Exhibition/Silent Art Auction in the Garden Pavilion features international artists Metin Bereketli and Senior Senator Pasqual Bettio. A Wellness Expo by the waterfalls lets guests meet with health care professionals from 12:00 NOON to 3:00 PM. Please wear white to lift the event vibration! Gifted artists will perform gospel, opera, and ballet featuring the “Understanding Principles” choir and band of Rev. Della Reese-Lett, star of “Touched by an Angel”, Clara Ward Singers, Chosen Gospel recovery, James Lent classical pianist, and Carmelita. Nick LaTour, Buddy Collette will be honored and Vonny Hilton Sweeny, Cookee of California, and Linda “Love” Washington will be remembered. Two shows: 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
Carmelita Pittman, a native Angeleno, is an award winning artist and former art educator with the Los Angeles Unified School district. She established a 501.c3 non-profit organization in honor of her mother, Juanita Zara Espinosa Uddin, who was a gifted artist and dedicated mother who gave her unconditional love.
