Organic's U By Kotex Campaign Wins the Inaugural GennY Youth Marketing Award
Youth Pulse, Inc. awarded the inaugural GennY Award recognizing excellence in youth marketing to Organic, a digital marketing agency, for the U By Kotex marketing campaign, conducted on behalf of Kimberly-Clark.

Youth Pulse, Inc. (Ypulse), the leading authority on youth, today awarded its inaugural GennY Award to Organic, Inc. for its groundbreaking U By Kotex campaign. Targeting teen girls and young women, the U by Kotex campaign stood out for its honest, authentic and educational dialogue about women's health.
"Unlike traditional advertising, digital channels allowed Kotex to tell a larger story and engage teens and young women in a way that transcended traditional advertising," said Ypulse president Dan Coates. "A combination of edgy creative with an authentic approach to an important topic resulted in tremendous passion among young females within a product category that hasn't seen this level of interest in a while."

Ypulse announced its inaugural GennY Award in the fall of 2009, receiving dozens of submissions from a variety of media companies, marketing agencies and non-profit organizations. The winning submission was selected by Ypulse staff as well as members of its Youth Advisory Board. Finalists included PayPal for the launch of the PayPal Student Accounts campaign; ISIS, Inc. for the Say What?!? contest to create a viral sex education PSA; and Cole Weber for the "Best of Us" challenge on behalf of the IOC and designed to engage young people around the world in the Olympic Games.
Organic was honored at the fourth annual Ypulse Youth Marketing Mashup event, held at the Hotel Nikko in San Francisco on May 23rd and May 24th, 2010.
