Budget-Priced Smile Makeover Holiday by Hungarian Dental Travel Attracts USA Companies

Budget-Priced Smile Makeover Holiday by Hungarian Dental Travel Attracts USA Companies

Hungary has become a top destination for those, who want lower priced dental treatment. It is reported that thousands of patients travel every month so that they can save up to 70% to 90% all over from Western Europe and now the US.

Sleaford, Lincs (PRWEB) August 10, 2006

Hungarian Dental Travel has not only been approached by individuals only, but companies are considering using its services for their employees.

Christopher Hall, the director of the England based Hungarian Dental Travel said: ”There is a high demand for reasonably priced high quality restorative dental care. For instance the average price of a crown in the USA is around $1130 upwards, whilst in Hungary crowns of the same quality are available from just $340. We have patients, who have travelled all the way from the US to Hungary for dental treatment and they still save $40 000 after the cost of flights and accommodation.”

Hungarian Dental Travel has many patients now from USA, enjoying the advantage of low costs, full service and European Touring.

For instance Sam Paggi from San Francisco has completed his treatment and saved up 80%, he also discovered other parts of Europe and made this experience a one to remember.

Dennis from Jefferson City, Knoxville is now a proud owner of a healthy, new smile.

Rosa from Boston went all way through to Hungary to get the smile what she would never be able to afford in the USA.

Erik from California and Jay are just about to travel.

The Diet Solution Program Focuses on Foods That Help Dieters Lose Belly Flab Naturally

The Diet Solution Program by certified nutritionist and exercise specialist Isabel De Los Rios focuses on foods that help dieters lose belly fat naturally. De Los Rios earned a pre-med degree in Exercise Physiology from Rutgers University. Her scientifically-based weight loss plan The Diet Solution Program has helped more than 50,000 people lose weight permanently.

Florham Park, NJ (PRWEB) January 20, 2011

Those eager to lose belly flab and regain control of their weight and their health may be interested in The Diet Solution Program, a scientifically based weight loss plan by certified nutritionist and exercise specialist Isabel De Los Rios. Over 50,000 people worldwide have lost weight naturally and for good with De Los Rios’ The Diet Solution Program available at http://www. TheDietSolutionProgram. com.

CBSNews. com recently ran a story entitled Eight Delicious Foods that Help Fight Belly Fat in which Self magazine Editor in Chief Lucy Danziger discussed antioxidant filled berries, potassium packed bananas, and avocados rich in healthy, mono-saturated fats.

According to the article half of one avocado contains a full ten grams of healthy mono-saturated fats. Consuming mono-saturated fats reduces the blood sugar spikes that signal the body to store unsightly and unhealthy belly fat.

Certified nutritionist and exercise specialist Isabel De Los Rios has spent the past ten years educating dieters about the dangers of high blood sugar, explaining that it’s not just diabetics who need to be concerned about blood sugar spikes. Instead, De Los Rios encourages dieters to focus on eating avocados and other foods that boost the body’s ability to lose belly flab naturally.

“Anyone who is trying to lose fat needs to be aware of their blood sugar,” says De Los Rios.

“Here’s why: If your blood sugar is high, over 120 for a consistent period of time, your body has no choice but to release a hormone called insulin, which signals your body to store fat and that’s exactly what you don’t want.”

To stimulate the body’s ability to lose belly flab and other unwanted fat, De Los Rios encourages dieters to reduce or even eliminate partially hydrogenated oils and instead focus on good fats like olive oil, coconut oil, avocados and raw nuts.

Isabel De Los Rios is a certified nutritionist and exercise specialist whose ten years of hands on experience combined with a thorough understanding of how food impacts the body enabled her to develop The Diet Solution Program, an all-natural approach to weight loss.

The Diet Solution Program is a scientifically based weight loss plan that has helped 50,000 dieters lose weight permanently. The Diet Solution Program reveals common dieting myths including how eating the right kind of fat will stimulate the body’s ability to lose belly flab and is available at http://www. WinMagic's SecureDoc Encryption Software Now Supports CRYPTOCard's Secure Password Technology

WinMagic's SecureDoc Encryption Software Now Supports CRYPTOCard's Secure Password Technology

CRYPTOCard Makes It Simple for SecureDoc's Local And Remote Users To Gain Multi-Factor, Positively Authenticated Network Access

Ottawa, Ontario, (PRWEB) January 29, 2004

CRYPTOCard Corp. (www. cryptocard. com), the innovative leader in Secure Password Technology, today announced that WinMagic Inc. (http://www. winmagic. com (http://www. winmagic. com)), a leading developer of disk encryption software, has integrated CRYPTOCard's authentication capabilities with its SecureDoc line of products. SecureDoc encryption software, which protects sensitive information stored on desktops and laptops by employing authentication technology even before the operating system boots up, can now be configured to work with CRYPTOCard's multi-function smart card and tokens to provide users with multi-factor positively-authenticated network access. SecureDoc then encrypts the entire hard disk, to further protect confidential information.

Once the initial SecureDoc Boot Logon is completed, the encryption software prompts the user to utilize a CRYPTOCard smart card or token to identify themselves to the network. By coupling two factors; something in the user's possession (a smart card, hardware token, or software token), with something the user knows (a PIN); CRYPTOCard makes it simple for users to positively authenticate themselves to the network. During the simple ATM-style log-on procedure, the CRYPTO-Admin authentication server generates an unguessable one-time 'Secure Password' that is only valid for the current logon attempt, eliminating any opportunity for an unauthorized user to gain network access via a stolen password. Additionally, the solution never transmits a user's PIN over the network, where it would be vulnerable to 'sniffer' technology.

"Obviously, an organization cannot guarantee system security if it cannot positively identify each individual user requesting network access," explained Malcolm MacTaggart, President & CEO, CRYPTOCard Corp. "The combination of WinMagic's encryption software and CRYPTOCard's authentication technology is a natural fit for organizations looking to positively identify both local and remote network users without complicating the log-on process."

"WinMagic's and CRYPTOCard's technologies are extremely complimentary," said Martijn Vrugteman, Channel Manager, WinMagic, Inc. "Integrating CRYPTOCard's Secure Password Technology enables organizations to add an additional layer of authentication security without sacrificing SecureDoc's inherent ease of use."

CRYPTO-Admin provides centralized authentication for network access regardless of network infrastructure or user location, and, by automating password generation, greatly reduces Help-Desk costs associated with resetting stolen or forgotten credentials. Additionally, the simple ATM-style log-on process counters the staff resistance often encountered when organizations attempt to implement an additional layer of security, by making it easy for even the least computer-savvy user to log on to the system. CRYPTO-Admin provides One-PIN-And-You're-In(TM) access to the LAN (using CRYPTO-Logon), VPN (using CRYPTO-VPN), Web (using CRYPTO-Web), and Building access (supporting HID, or Mifare access control systems). Additionally, CRYPTO-Deploy makes it easy for security officers to add or delete a system user in seconds - making it simple to administer large user populations, Extranet partners, or others requiring temporary building or network access.

Designed for today's increasingly-mobile workforce, the SecureDoc Central Database lets administrators install, encrypt, and configure user machines centrally, and enables secure, yet flexible creation and distribution of keys and key files, as well as assignment of access privileges to users. Administrators can customize password rules for the entire network, as well as recover lost passwords through a secure one-time challenge and response online engine. Most importantly, the unique design of the SecureDoc Central Database Key file management eliminates all the vulnerabilities associated with the 'Master Password' concept so commonly used by other encryption software.

SecureDoc utilizes Public Key Cryptographic Standards PKCS-#11, and has achieved validations for Common Criteria, FIPS 140-1 Level 2. SecureDoc's FORTEZZA-based version is the only disk encryption software certified by the NSA to safeguard US government secret information.

About CRYPTOCard Corporation

Established in 1989, CRYPTOCard provides cost-effective Secure Password Technology to leading enterprises worldwide in the government, technology, aerospace, financial, telecommunications, and healthcare sectors. CRYPTOCard's award-winning technology positively authenticates a user's identity by coupling something in the user's possession (a smart card, hardware token, or software token), with something the user knows (their PIN), and provides centralized authentication for all physical and network access regardless of network infrastructure or user location. CRYPTOCard's partners include Microsoft (Nasdaq:MSFT - News), Apple (Nasdaq:AAPL - News), Cisco (Nasdaq:CSCO - News), Check Point (Nasdaq:CHKP - News), Citrix (Nasdaq:CTXS - News), Entrust (Nasdaq:ENTU - News), Oracle (Nasdaq:ORCL - News), Sun Microsystems (Nasdaq:SUNW - News), and Macromedia (Nasdaq:MACR - News). OPERATION SPECIAL DELIVERY: Doula Support For Military Families

OPERATION SPECIAL DELIVERY: Doula Support For Military Families

Operation Special Delivery provides free of charge, Labor Doula Support to the pregnant wives of the U. S. military troops that are scheduled to be deployed at the expected time of the birth of their baby. The program also provides, free of charge, Labor Doula Support to the pregnant wives of the U. S. Military members which have become widowed as a direct result of September 11th or the subsequent war.

(PRWEB) July 30, 2003

Some gave their lives. Some gave blood. Some gave money. Some gave time and physical strength. Others are giving their hearts.

In response to the September 11 terrorist attack on America, Doulas across the country stand ready to respond, similar to military troops, to any family who needs their assistance.

Doulas are trained childbirth professionals who provide a continuity of care that is not provided by any other single childbirth professional. They focus on the emotional needs of their clients and attend to them during the latter part of pregnancy and continuously throughout their labor. Postpartum Doulas work with new families well into the postpartum period.

More than ten known studies indicate that Doulas have dramatically positive effects on the labor process. These effects include shorter labors, fewer complications, fewer cesarean births, fewer requests for pain medications, and healthier babies.

The fees for Doula Services vary from $100 to $1,000, depending on the location and the individual Doula. Doulas throughout the United States have formed Operation Special Delivery, which is an effort to provide much-needed Doula Services at no charge to any woman whose husband or partner has been called or will be called into active military duty and will therefore not be able to attend the birth of their baby.

Operation Special Delivery was created by Patricia Newton, a Doula in southern New Jersey, who felt a need to help the families greatly affected by the tragedies of September 11. Fully aware of the immeasurable impact childbirth has on a family, and specifically on a woman, she placed a request for volunteer Doulas in New Jersey, and the response was immediate. Surprisingly, the project quickly spread to neighboring states Pennsylvania and Delaware, and within one week, twenty states across the country had joined Operation Special Delivery.

The services are now offered nationwide, with twenty-five states being involved with Operation Special Delivery. The remaining twenty-five states are being led under its sister project, Operation Doula Care. As a group, these Doulas are enthused about supporting the United States Military in this manner.

Many military wives have written "thank you" notes to this organization, expressing their gratitude because of the great need they know these Doulas are meeting. Military bases are also welcoming this project and are promoting this service directly to their families.

Quebec Hospitals To Save Millions Using E-Commerce

Quebec Hospitals To Save Millions Using E-Commerce

Initiative estimated to reduce procurement expenses by 50%

Montreal, Quebec (PRWEB) March 10, 2005

March 9, 2005 - MediChain, a major online procurement solution for the healthcare industry has been successfully launched with the McGill University Health Center (MUHC), a network of 5 teaching hospitals including The Montreal ChildrenÂ’s Hospital, The Montreal General Hospital, The Royal Victoria Hospital, The Montreal Neurological Hospital and The Montreal Chest Institute and Source Medical, one of CanadaÂ’s largest medical suppliers. The MediChain E-Procurement Platform has been developed and is operated by iCongo, a Montreal based company.

Many hospitals and healthcare institutions will soon be going live with the MediChain platform including: La corporation d’approvisionnement santé services sociaux de l’Estrie (La C. A.S. S.S. E.) for 10 of its hospitals, the centre hospitalier universitaire de Sherbrooke (CHUS) hospital network which includes, l’hôtel-dieu de Sherbrooke, l’hôpital Saint-Vincent-de-Paul and Sherbrooke hospital and the centre hospitalier universitaire de Québec (CHUQ) hospital network which includes L’Hôtel-Dieu de Québec, the CHUL and l’Hôpital Saint-François d’Assise.

VWR International, a leading worldwide distributor of scientific equipment, supplies, chemicals and furniture has also joined MediChain and will soon be transacting with the establishments on the platform.

The platform is an easy-to-use yet highly sophisticated EDI document exchange and e-procurement platform that will significantly improve the way hospitals purchase from their suppliers. By moving from traditional paper ordering to a paperless electronic process is expected to substantially reduce order-processing cycle times and administrative costs for both healthcare institutions and suppliers.

"We are very happy with the successful MediChain pilot and the speed of its implementation." Said Carole Duhamel, Associate Director, Materials Management for MUHC. "Our hospitals were live with MediChain with minimal effort by our IT staff. We are excited that we will now begin to benefit from the important efficiencies in healthcare procurement made possible by MediChain."

At MUHC, the average cost to process and physically handle a purchase order can range between $50 to $75 per order. By automating the procurement functions using the Internet, the costs of handling and processing a purchase order through all phases of procurement is estimated drop to between $10 and $30 per order.

"The Success of the MediChain Pilot with the MUHC and Source Medical demonstrates the strong technology behind the MediChain Platform", said Charles Auger, President-Elect of AQLASS - QuebecÂ’s logistical procurement association). "AQLASS fully supports the MediChain solution and we plan on working with all our members to assist in its adoption process".

This is the first time in Quebec that a group of health care establishments from numerous regions along with the AQLASS association have adopted a common e-commerce solution.

"Interfacing MediChain to our Internet-based EDI platform went smoothly.", said Lynne Morrison, Director, Application Services at Source Medical. "The expertise and professionalism of the iCongo team along with the flexibility of the MediChain technology allowed us a quick and successful implementation. We are now receiving MUHCÂ’s orders through MediChain with secure and timely delivery. This will result with important efficiencies for both us and our customer."

"The MediChain platform, built on iCongoÂ’s comprehensive eprocurement and document exchange systems, is enabling both heathcare institutions and suppliers to take advantage of important order processing efficiencies.", said Irwin Kramer, President of iCongo. "The strong industry support of MediChain demonstrates the importance of the intitiative and will ensure its success. We expect that most of the hospitals in Quebec as well as their suppliers will participate in this inititive."

Currently healthcare organizations buy less than 1% of their equipment and supplies over the Internet. QuebecÂ’s hospitals spend more than $2 billion a year, purchasing everything from floor polish to surgical supplies from hundreds of suppliers across North America.

Author Unlocks “Door” to Successful Relationships

Author Unlocks “Door” to Successful Relationships

To attract the best, you have to be your best. New book on love relationships explains how cultivating a healthy self-love and developing the characteristics in yourself that you seek in others can help you find the relationship of your dreams.

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) April 25, 2006

Crossing the Threshold: Opening Your Door to Successful Relationships, by Talayah G. Stovall, offers insight into how becoming your “best self” will automatically draw the type of relationship you seek. Using analogies of women as various types of “doors”, the book encourages readers to break the mindsets that hold them back and keep them repeating the same relationship patterns. They will discover how to develop the qualities they seek in others as they move from a “Door Mat” - allowing themselves to be walked on, “Door Prize” - expecting to be put on a pedestal, or other negative “Door” mentalities to the self-aware, balanced and relationship-ready “Door Belle.” Perhaps most importantly, the book facilitates the readers’ understanding and acceptance of the fact that in order for others to value them, they must first value themselves. They will discover that THEY are the key that unlocks the door to a successful relationship. Readers will learn to:

Break the patterns that cause them to exhibit self-defeating behaviors  Overcome a negative self-image and recover from the “Cinderella Syndrome”  Release “Mr. In The Meantime” and the relationship “baggage” they might be carrying  Recognize the characteristics of “Mr. Right” and a true love relationship  Change their outlook to change their outcomes – develop the healthy “Door Belle” within

With a powerful foreword by Dr. Linda G. Owens, PhD, this book will help you develop an understanding of who you are so that you can grow into the person that God designed you to be.

The launch party for Crossing the Threshold will be held on Sunday, April 30, from 4:00 – 6:00 p. m. at the Sole Lounge, Chicago’s premiere shoe salon, located at 1516 E. 63rd Street in Chicago, IL. For more information, call 773-268-5620.

Auxiliary teams up with Coast Guard Mutual Assistance to aid Coast Guard Victims of Katrina

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary has partnered with Coast Guard Mutual Assistance, a non-profit organization providing financial assistance to the Coast Guard community, in an effort to maximize the efforts of Operation Life Ring.

Operation Life Ring (www. operationlifering. org) was set up by the Coast Guard Auxiliary to benefit both Auxiliarists, as well as Active Duty, Reserve, and Civilian members and their families who have become victims of Hurricane Katrina.

"The Association is teaming with Coast Guard Mutual Assistance (CGMA) to leverage the donated funds we have available with their funds and those provided by the Coast Guard Foundation." said Gene Seibert, the National Commodore of the Auxiliary, as well as the President of the Coast Guard Auxiliary Association (CGAuxA), whose overarching mission is to provide for the fiscal health of the U. S. Coast Guard Auxiliary by generating the income required to sustain all its present and future program needs.

"This partnership will significantly increase the funds available to all our affected Coast Guard family members. We will work with CGMA to identify Auxiliarists and guide them and other Coast Guard family members to CGMA representatives in the Gulf Coast region."

Tasked with the responsibility to match dollars to need, Como Seibert called upon Past Commodore Joseph Taylor, who will interact with the Coast Guard Auxiliary 8th District, Coastal Region's Commodore, Jim Vass, as well as the CGMA.

More information about Operation Life Ring, providing donations to the men and women of the Coast Guard Family and how to obtain funds if you are a member of the Coast Guard Family and are victims of the Hurricane can be found on both the CGAuxA web site www. cgauxa. org or at www. operationlifering. org

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary is composed of uniformed, non-military volunteer's who assist the Coast Guard in all of its varied missions, except for military and direct law enforcement. These men and women can be found on the nation's waterways, in the air, in classrooms and on the dock, performing Maritime Domain Awareness patrols, safety patrols, vessel safety checks and public education.

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary was founded in 1939 by an Act of Congress as the U. S. Coast Guard Reserve and re-designated as the Auxiliary in 1941. Its 31,000 members donate millions of hours annually in support of Coast Guard missions.

Nutritional Products International Announces U. S. Launch of Sea2O Energy Drink Stimulant-Free, Organic Energy Drink Now Available at Amazon. com and Select Retailers Nationwide

Nutritional Products International Announces U. S. Launch of Sea2O Energy Drink Stimulant-Free, Organic Energy Drink Now Available at Amazon. com and Select Retailers Nationwide

Nutritional Products International (NPI), a worldwide leader in bringing consumer products into the US marketplace, announced the company has signed an agreement with Sea2O, Inc. to achieve distribution in the Sports Nutrition / Health Specialty channels.

Delray Beach, Fla. (PRWEB) August 19, 2009

Nutritional Products International (NPI), a worldwide leader in bringing consumer products into the US marketplace, announced the company has signed an agreement with Sea2O, Inc. to achieve distribution in the Sports Nutrition / Health Specialty channels.

Sea2O Organic Energy Drink provides a natural energy boost without the addition of caffeine or stimulants. It is USDA Certified Organic, which means no unhealthy stimulants of any kind are used in the production of the product. Sea2O is 100% natural with antioxidants extracted from organic seaweed, making it the only energy drink to incorporate this ingredient.

While Sea2O is organic, another relevant aspect of the product is that it is a truly healthy alternative to the incredibly popular conventional energy drink.

According to Nancy Yi, Chief Executive Officer of the Bellevue, WA-based Sea2O, Inc, "We have chosen not to focus on the already saturated 16-25 year old market. Alternatively, we are looking toward a large, older, and underserved group of former or new health-conscious energy drink consumers. This will open up this already profitable category to a whole other segment of consumers that are not currently buying energy drinks."

Sea2O uses organic agave sweetener as opposed to the refined sugars that are prevalent in the leading brands, which results in a low glycemic index. Having a low glycemic index ensures no sharp rise in blood sugar and resulting crash. This makes the product appealing to diabetics.

Another core ingredient in Sea2O is organic seaweed extract, which is rich in antioxidants and protects the body from cell damage. It aids in blood circulation and provides a natural energy boost.

In addition to these ingredients, Sea2O has incorporated 30% of the recommended daily serving of fiber, a double dose of vitamin C and over a third of that of vitamin B6. Combined with natural flavors and no addition of caffeine or other stimulants that are commonly found in traditional energy drinks, Sea2O is the only truly healthy energy drink on the market today.

Mitch Gould, Director of Global Operations for Nutritional Products International states, "We are very excited to be involved in expanding the distribution of this all natural organic, and stimulant-free energy drink. It is a breakthrough for so many underserved consumer markets, and we fully intend to see great success with this product in the Sports Nutrition / Health industry channels.

Sea2O Organic Energy Drink is currently available on Amazon. com, Big Y supermarkets in Massachusetts and select Whole Foods stores throughout the nation with more retailers to follow. For updates and more information, visit www. NutriCompany. com.

SOWSIA Launches Global Health Care Management Suite of Web Applications on HIPAA-Compliant OpSource On-Demand: ONDEMAND HEALTH CARE. net Provides Highly Secure, Central Resource for Managing all Aspects of Patient Care Without Boundaries

SOWSIA Launches Global Health Care Management Suite of Web Applications on HIPAA-Compliant OpSource On-Demand: ONDEMAND HEALTH CARE. net Provides Highly Secure, Central Resource for Managing all Aspects of Patient Care Without Boundaries

OpSource(TM), the SaaS delivery experts, today announced that SOWSIA, a leading developer and marketer of integrated healthcare management solutions, has selected OpSource On-Demand to deliver SOWSIA's ONDEMAND HEALTH CARE and a broad Unified Health Performance Management suite, which manages all clinical, operational, and financial functions across the healthcare continuum. The uHPM suite comprises more than 75 application modules that enable individuals, care providers, administrators and insurers to serve patients' health needs regardless of physical location or type of health service provided. OpSource On-Demand provides SOWSIA with guaranteed uptime to meet round-the-clock healthcare needs, as well as critical HIPAA compliance, which is essential for assuring confidentiality of sensitive medical records. The access to entire uHPM suite is free with 1GB of data storage. The SaaS offering has an attractive price for additional storage and information management and comes with an exclusive 90-day on-line trial. The combination of SOWSIA's Web applications and Healthcare Services Network-OS(TM) with the efficiencies of OpSource On-Demand will enable individuals to securely manage their health records for pennies a day and physicians and hospitals to administer their services at costs 100 to 1,000 times lower than what the traditional electronic health record (EHR) systems allow.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (PRWEB) March 3, 2008

In response to the soaring cost of healthcare administration, SOWSIA has leveraged software-as-a-service (SaaS) as the delivery vehicle to make a reality of its vision of healthcare management as a universally accessible commodity for every individual in the United States and around the world. After exploring traditional hosting vendors, SOWSIA chose OpSource On-Demand, the only complete Web application delivery solution priced on-demand. Moreover, only OpSource offered the entire spectrum of services required to bring SOWSIA's Web applications to market, including application management, billing and analytics, security, 24x7 end-user customer support and business continuity, all underpinned by HIPAA compliance and SAS 70 Type II certification -- all critical for creating, securing, reliably accessing, confidently sharing, and fully protecting private health records.

OpSource CEO Treb Ryan said, "SOWSIA has pioneered SaaS applications in healthcare that will transform the way medical information gets managed online, and we are excited to play such a key role in bringing its vision to life. Healthcare organizations today not only have to take care of their core business of providing care, but also have to deal with the distraction of reining in runaway costs associated with IT deployments. Before SaaS, organizations did not have a choice but to spend millions of dollars in licensing, maintenance, support fees, and managing infrastructure obsolescence. SOWSIA brings all of the benefits of SaaS to the healthcare sector worldwide. Also, by simultaneously launching 75 applications that cover the continuum of care provided by Physicians, Hospitals, and Nursing Homes, SOWSIA has proven the massive scale and versatility of OpSource On-Demand as a Web application platform."

Arvind Jain, SOWSIA's Founder, added, "The significance of OpSource On-Demand is that it supports the latest application technologies, so we are not limited by old technology like many traditional players. We found that OpSource excelled in not only the infrastructure to deploy Web applications, but also in providing all the essential supporting services such as HIPAA and SAS 70 compliance, security, networking and platform administration for managing SOWSIA uHPM and SOA-Grid Appliances. In addition, OpSource was integrally involved in helping us navigate through our own evolution away from a traditional software licensing model, providing expert guidance to transform our application suite into a commercially viable SaaS solution. By relying on OpSource to handle everything related to SaaS delivery, we can focus solely on enhancing the capabilities and value of our healthcare applications."

Sandeep Jain, M. D., Board Member, said, "In the face of reimbursement and financial pressures, healthcare organizations are eager to embrace a redesign that will remove costs and expand quality. Today's emerging healthcare environment is also becoming increasingly complex and there is a need for a demand driven system that would connect the many diverse sources of information created by physicians, pharmacists, nurses, case managers, quality officers, administrators, and insurers. All of this data flowing over disparate systems from geographically distinct locations need to come together at the point of service.

"SOWSIA's comprehensive offering launches healthcare into a state of evolution overdrive -- changing faster than ever. By making the ONDEMAND HEALTH CARE model omnipresent with OpSource On-Demand, we gain the limitless potential of SaaS, enabling all of the patient's medical information to be globally accessed and shared from a highly secure, centrally managed environment. With the need for quality and accuracy in medical information of potentially hundreds of millions of patients that ONDEMAND HEALTH CARE envisions, we could only put our trust in a SaaS delivery partner that has the level of proven reliability and security, which OpSource offers. Patients are finally in the drivers seat, and Physicians have all the tools to provide front-line care, on demand."

71% of Gay Travelers Prefer to Stay in Gay Owned and Operated Hotels

71% of Gay Travelers Prefer to Stay in Gay Owned and Operated Hotels

New travel survey from Pink Choice provides some interesting information on the gay travel industry in 2009-2010

Provincetown, MA (PRWEB) January 19, 2010

Pink Choice (http://www. pinkchoice. com (http://www. pinkchoice. com)), one of the largest and most trusted websites for gay and lesbian hotel reviews, today announced results from its first annual Gay and Lesbian Travel Survey. The results shed some light on the health and direction of gay travel in 2009 and going into 2010. Over 500 individuals completed the survey.

The Economy is Impacting Gay Travel

Fifty-six percent of respondents said that the current economy had affected their travel plans and that they would be spending less on travel than in previous years. However, 63% said that they had not needed to shorten their vacations and 54% had already booked their trips for 2010. “The gay travel market has been impacted by the bad economy but people are still traveling. They may be looking to spend a bit less but as the results show, many are already booking for 2010,” said Stephen Mascilo, a co-founder of Pink Choice.

Gay Travelers Prefer Staying in Gay Owned Establishments

Seventy-one percent of respondents preferred to stay in an accommodation that was gay/lesbian owned and operated. That’s not surprising but over 50% indicated they weren’t bothered one way or the other. “We were surprised that over 50% of the respondents said they would be comfortable staying in a non gay owned establishment. It might reflect society’s changing attitudes towards gay and lesbian travelers,” said Stephen. Future surveys will examine this question further.

Price is the Main Factor for Choosing Travel Arrangements

When it comes to travel arrangements, less than 15% of members said they choose an airline specifically because of its GLBT policy. Based on this data, airlines that have spent time and money promoting gay friendly flights may not see much return. Over 50% said ticket price was a major deciding factor and 35% based their decision on flight schedules.

For more information on the survey and full survey results, email info@pinkchoice. com.

Families Find Baby Name Ideas, Meanings, Origins & Celebrity Names at FamilyEducation's NameLab

Families Find Baby Name Ideas, Meanings, Origins & Celebrity Names at FamilyEducation's NameLab

Popular Parenting Site Puts Tools for Picking the Perfect Baby Name At New Parents' Fingertips

Boston, MA (PRWEB) August 4, 2009

With the kick-off of the annual August "baby boom," hundreds of thousands of about-to-be new parents scrambling to find baby name ideas (http://baby-names. familyeducation. com/lists/) can turn to FamilyEducation's NameLab, which offers numerous resources for families. Using this interactive online tool, prospective parents can browse names by origin and popularity as well as by celebrity baby names (http://baby-names. familyeducation. com/celebrities/). They can also research the meaning of names that they are considering.

"A name is the first thing parents give their children and, in the long run, one of the most important," said Jess M. Brallier, publisher, Family Education Network. "FamilyEducation's NameLab puts the tools for working through the process of picking the perfect name at prospective parents' fingertips, while providing them with expert advice and guidance on the importance of a name as well as fun facts about naming trends and origins."

The site features the top 100 baby boy names (http://baby-names. familyeducation. com/topnames/boys/) and top 100 baby girl names (http://baby-names. familyeducation. com/topnames/girls/), based on Social Security Administration statistics. Using the unique Name Tracker tool, parents can view and compare the popularity of names to get a sense of how many "Jonathans" might be in their new baby's kindergarten class or just to learn how popular their own names have been over the years. By entering additional names, families can compare the popularity of their names and the names of their friends and other family members.

Parents who want to move beyond the most popular names of "Emily" and "Jacob" and are looking for a name that will make their child stand out from the crowd can use NameLab's Build a Name tool to generate baby name ideas (http://baby-names. familyeducation. com/namefinder) and test different name combinations. Their efforts can be saved on the site and emailed to friends and family members for their feedback. NameLab's Name Categories tool helps parents brainstorm name ideas for their new arrivals by providing lists of names that were inspired by groups such as animals, jewels, literary characters, the silver screen and presidents' kids.

NameLab's Family Name Search lets users explore the history of surnames to be sure that the name they are giving their baby works with the meaning of their surname or to get a deeper sense of their family's roots.

People can find out if their names match their personalities by using the site's Renamer Tool (http://baby-names. familyeducation. com/renamer). For example, "Michael" might discover after submitting the traits of "creative, funny, gentle, intelligent, manly, protector, smart, strong and wild" to the Renamer Tool that the name "Charles" or "Kevin" better suits his personality.

In articles on NameLab, such as "What's in a Name?" experts offer soon-to-be parents guidance on the importance of the names that they select for their babies and the impact that they can have on the people their children become. Other articles delve into how to pick a middle name and advice for naming multiples. Quizzes on NameLab challenge parents to think about their naming style and test their knowledge of celebrity baby names and overall name trivia.

Questions and Answers Concerning the Senate Healthcare Bill

Questions and Answers Concerning the Senate Healthcare Bill

As confusion concerning proposed Senate healthcare legislation builds, the Federation of American Consumers and Travelers (FACT) is providing un-biased answers to questions on the topic.

Naples, FL (PRWEB) December 24, 2009

EDWARDSVILLE, IL, December 21, 2009 - As confusion concerning proposed Senate healthcare (http://usafact. org/NEWSBULLETINS. ASPX) legislation builds, the Federation of American Consumers and Travelers (FACT) is fielding more and more questions on the topic.

Vicki Rolens, managing director of the not-for-profit consumer association, says, “FACT has steadfastly maintained a neutral position on political matters. We simply refuse to take sides, which enhances our credibility and leads our members to rely on us for unbiased information concerning important issues.”

She adds: “Lately, most questions concern the various healthcare proposals floating around Washington. These proposals are thousands of pages long and written in language which almost no one could comprehend even if he or she had the reading time. FACT tries to wade through it all and to deliver accurate information to our members, but it’s impossible to explain all elements of the legislation with absolute certainty.”

Some examples of the most frequently asked questions, and the most straightforward answers possible in light of the length and complexity of the Senate’s healthcare bill, include:

Q. Who will need to have health insurance?
A. Every legal resident will be required to buy health insurance. Subsidies will be available to individuals and families who meet certain financial criteria, based upon the so-called “poverty level.” For residents who don’t follow the government mandate, penalties will be levied.

Q. Are employers required to provide health insurance for their employees?
A. No, but they would need to pay a penalty if any employee uses the government subsidy to purchase insurance. Any company with more than 50 employees could face a penalty of $750 per worker, multiplied by the total number of full-time workers it employs, if just one worker obtains subsidized coverage on his or her own.

Q. Where will I get my medical insurance?
A. It is anticipated that most medical insurance will continue to be employer-related. Persons without employer-provided insurance will apparently be directed to a state-based insurance exchange.

Q. When would the legislation actually kick in?
A. For the most part, not until 2014, although taxes necessary to pay for the plan would be implemented immediately.

Q. Will my premiums go down?
A. According to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), the average premiums for a nongroup policy in 2016 will be $5,800 for single coverage and $15,200 for a family. For small groups, the average premium per policy will be “in the vicinity of $7,800 and $19,200.” For large groups (50+ employees), the averages are estimated to be $7,400 and $20,300.

Rolens says there is still much uncertainty about what a final healthcare bill, if passed, will look like. “The Senate bill needs to be somehow reconciled with the House version,” she points out, “and there are any number of stumbling blocks, large and small, which might be encountered.”

The Federation of American Consumers and Travelers (FACT) is a consumer organization, formed under the not-for-profit corporation laws of the District of Columbia in 1984. It serves more than 1 million consumers nationwide. Additional information on FACT may be found in the Encyclopedia of Associations, and by visiting the association's Web site (http://www. usafact. org (http://www. usafact. org)). Informative, unbiased news bulletins (http://usafact. org/NEWSBULLETINS. ASPX) are regularly disseminated by FACT to help its members remain current on matters which might seriously impact their lives. The association does not offer support to -- and does not receive support from -- any political party or movement. In addition to publishing consumer-related reports, the association provides more than 30 benefits for its members, ranging from medical insurance (http://usafact. org/medicalinsurance. html) and dental discounts (http://usafact. org/discountdentalcareplan. html) to prescription drug savings (http://usafact. org/rxdiscounts. html) and scholarships (http://usafact. org/financialaid. html). Datacraft Solutions Promoting Efficient Electronic Kanban

Datacraft Solutions Promoting Efficient Electronic Kanban

Datacraft Solutions Promoting Efficient Electronic Kanban

(PRWEB) August 10, 2004

The lean manufacturing paper kanban system can encourage inefficient behavior between a manufacturer and suppliers.

-Buyers often send duplicate fax releases when they are not sure if a fax was transmitted.

-Fax releases are sometimes sent on expired purchase orders.

-Suppliers are inundated with illegible or questionable faxes often ignored them.

-Suppliers frequently say they never received the fax order.

-Without a reality-based “expected on dock” time and a method to track supplier performance, shipments are often sent too soon or too late.

-Quantity mismatches are frequent. Suppliers ship an inaccurate quantity without being held accountable/

-Productivity is detrimentally impacted in staff time spent faxing.

-Managers and buyers are often flying blind as to the health of manufacturing cells and kanbans.

Kanban in general is based on trust, namely that suppliers will reliably deliver quality product in the right quantity at the right time. The only way to achieve this reliability is a web-based kanban automation system.

Datacraft SolutionsÂ’ (www. datacraftsolutions. com) Signum is the leading web-based kanban automation system.

Signum is the manufacturerÂ’s tool, integrating inventory barcode scanners and kanban cards into a web interface where buyers can plan and calculate their kanban requirements, automatically issue replenishment signals to suppliers, confirm receipt, and monitor status at all times. Customizable alerts and control signals control routine transactions and exceptions.

Signum has another key feature: the repository. It is the feature that allows manufacturers to have real data to direct future on-going continued process improvement efforts. Signum can report on supplier performance, reliability, and determine who needs “help”.

Signum encourages efficient behavior between a manufacturer and suppliers.

Launch of HealthPricer. com Offers Shoppers One Destination to Comparison Shop for over 13,000 Dietary Supplement Products from 40 Online Retailers

Launch of HealthPricer. com Offers Shoppers One Destination to Comparison Shop for over 13,000 Dietary Supplement Products from 40 Online Retailers

First to provide Industry Association Quality Certification information to consumers.

Vancouver, BC (PRWEB) September 27, 2005

One Person Health Inc., an expert in online comparison health, today unveils HealthPricer. com, a 'comparison shopping' site focused on the healthcare products market. HealthPricer. com provides visitors with the most comprehensive product and ingredient information available on the internet together with the ability to compare features and pricing for over 13,000 dietary supplement products at over 40 of the Internet's most trusted and respected vitamin stores.

"We're launching our site at a time when health costs are rising for consumers, insurers and government. The proactive health consumer has emerged and is looking to the Internet as a source for information and purchasing power," says George Fleming, CEO of OnePersonHealth. "E-health consumers require in-depth, science-based information to help them buy the products and services that fit their personal needs. There isn't a market that is more confusing and complicated or one where quality and pricing is inconsistent. With the launch ofHealthPricer. com online shoppers can now shop with confidence and find the nutritional products they need at better prices."

One source for purchasing power

With 49% of US consumers taking some form of nutraceutical product (American Dietetic Association), HealthPricer. com is initially focusing on nutrition and dietary supplements. The web site is easy to use and navigate, giving shoppers the ability to search, sort and compare supplements based on detailed product information, including dosage, health category, brand, Internet retailer, product certification and specialty science-based features, such as the ability to sort for products that are animal free, yeast free, gluten/wheat free and sugar free. Based on search criteria indicated by the shopper, HealthPricer. com searches the Internet's top online retailers to find the exact products the shopper is looking for. From a list of the products that match these criteria, the shopper is then able to select those they'd like to price compare. Once a choice has been made HealthPricer. com directly drops those items into a shopping basket at the online health retailer of choice and the purchase is completed. HealthPricer. com will soon expand into other areas of health and wellness including pharmaceuticals and generic drugs, OTC drugs, sports supplements, cosmetics, skin care products and local comparison shopping for health products and services.

A trusted advisor of quality products

Recognizing that consumers are confused by fragmented and contradictory health information online, HealthPricer. com draws on the company's vast collection of in-depth and science-based health and wellness information. OnePersonHealth has been leading the market by combining science-based nutritional health assessments with product recommendations to deliver affordable and accurate personalized nutritional healthcare solutions. HealthPricer. com builds on that experience and expertise and provides consumers with trusted health information together with comparison e-commerce.

In its efforts to better inform consumers of the quality of supplements, HealthPricer. com contains an entire section on supplement certifications and how shoppers can identify top quality products. Third party certification bodies such as USP, NNFA, and NSF have developed standards regulations that evaluate the quality of supplement products and manufacturers: their ingredients, dosage levels, label claims and manufacturing facilities. Every supplement on the site that has been certified, or is manufactured by a certified manufacturer, is identified by its corresponding seal to help shoppers choose from quality products.

Partnered with trusted online health retailers

Further living up to its promise of trusted health product comparison shopping, HealthPricer. com has partnered with over 40 of the Internet's most trusted and respected vitamin stores. This allows HealthPricer. com to offer detailed product information and comparison on over 13,000 products.

Unique Shopping Features

HealthPricer. com presents a number of industry-first comparison shopping features designed specifically for the personal healthcare products market:

ShopMatchingTM - a feature that automatically searches for products closely matching in ingredient, form of ingredient, dosage and content, which are available at lower prices;  Shopping List PricingTM - allows consumers to create and comparison shop a shopping list of different products simultaneously.  Unique filtering options – recognizing that every consumer will have different product preferences, the site allows the shopper to filter search results to easily find products that have a certain dosage of one ingredient, are animal free and dairy free or products that only have a certain designated certification.  Supplement certification feature – HealthPricer. com's third party certification feature allows the consumer to examine the certifications of the products they purchase.

In the near future, HealthPricer. com will also include consumer ratings and reviews through HealthPinions. com as well as provide a sign-up service that notifies registered members of better deals and product advice based on their personal settings and shopping experiences.

Groundbreaking New Book Removes the Shroud of Secrecy Surrounding Donor Insemination

Groundbreaking New Book Removes the Shroud of Secrecy Surrounding Donor Insemination

Author and licensed psychologist, Lynne W. Spencer reveals how being a sperm donor offspring shaped her life in Sperm Donor Offspring

Detroit (PRWEB) October 18, 2007

Sperm Donor Offspring: Identity and Other Experiences by Lynne W. Spencer is a qualitative study of eight individuals conceived from the sperm of a donor and how being a sperm donor offspring affected their life experience and identity.

In Sperm Donor Offspring, Spencer describes the emotions she encountered in her own life and while conducting interviews with other sperm donor offspring. Throughout the research process, Spencer discovered several common themes, including family secrecy, identity confusion, not fitting in, and a need for ancestral connection. Drawing from and including quotes taken from interviews, Spencer explains each theme and offers resources for support.

Today, donor insemination is commonly accepted as a treatment for infertility; however, there is often little thought given to the children who will be conceived and the impact the experience will have on them later in life. For that reason, it is important to hear what actual sperm donor offspring have experienced in order to evaluate how the practice of sperm, egg, and embryo donations should be handled in the future. The knowledge gained in this book is relevant for the future practice, legislation, and regulation of infertility treatments as well as in determining what information should be shared with offspring.

Informative and educational, Sperm Donor Offspring: Identity and Other Experiences is a must read for anyone considering donor insemination.

Study Reveals Men Really Do Have a Heart: Cause Marketing Wins with Men; Majority of Brands Yet to Respond

Study Reveals Men Really Do Have a Heart: Cause Marketing Wins with Men; Majority of Brands Yet to Respond

Contrary to popular belief, men are revealed to be nearly as attracted to cause marketing as women. Cause marketing is soaring in popularity with 75% of CMOs saying they engage in cause marketing programs. Yet 68% of CMOs say they have no plans to direct their cause efforts towards men.

Kansas City (Vocus) November 4, 2010

The first survey of men in the six-year history of The PRWeek/Barkley Cause Survey has uncovered surprising data regarding men’s attraction to brands that have a cause marketing program. Running contrary to the natural assumption that women are solely attracted to cause programs, 88% of men say it’s important for a brand to support a cause, 61% have purchased a brand because it supported a cause, 67% would try a brand because it supported a cause, and 55% would pay more for a brand that supported a cause. For the full survey, visit http://www. barkleyus. com.

“The Boomer generation has carved out the path toward looking at cause marketing as an important way to con¬nect with consumers,” said Mike Swenson, President, Barkley Public Relations. “But even more so do Gen X and Gen Y Millennials, who view it as something that must be done. That’s why we’re seeing the numbers we do with men. It’s no longer a gender issue.”

While men overwhelming direct their dollars toward cause, 68% of corporate marketing executives say they have no plans to target men with their cause efforts. This at a time when there has been an explosion of cause efforts. 75% of brands now engage in cause marketing (up from 58% in 2009) and 97% of marketing executives believe it to be a valid business strategy.

One of the most interesting findings of this year’s survey came in the verbatim answers from consumers. When asked to iden¬tify companies that are not doing cause programs but should be, the most common consumer responses were BP, Apple and Goldman Sachs.

While men care about cause nearly as much as women, there were distinct differences between the two. When it comes to which causes they support, men chose children/education and women chose health (per 2009 Cause Survey data). Yet when it came to health, 94% of men said they were comfortable supporting causes that addressed prostate cancer, AIDS or heart disease.

About the PRWeek/Barkley Cause Survey:
The PRWeek/Barkley Cause Survey was conducted by CAWalker from August 12-23, 2010. E-mail notification was sent to approximately 4,252 marketing pros and 2,365 consumers. A total of 79 PR and marketing pros and 536 male consumers completed the survey online. The results are not weighted and are statistically tested at a confidence level of 90%. This article offers only a summary of findings.
