Get Rubber! Launches Second Public Service Announcement

Get Rubber! Launches Second Public Service Announcement

Features adult film stars encouraging safe sex

(Vocus) November 15, 2010

The Get Rubber! campaign is moving into the next phase of the project, with the release of a second public service announcement.

The PSA is part of a continuing series that aims to raise awareness about sexually transmitted infections, AIDS, and practicing safe sex. It will appear on Brazzers DVD pre-rolls, on http://www. getrubber. com, as well as various social media sites.

By supporting the creation and release of this PSA, Manwin group of companies and Brazzers reinforce their support for spreading the safe sex message. Getrubber. com, the series of PSAs, and the purchase of billboard space in New York City until November 21st 2010, are part of a continuous commitment by Brazzers and Manwin to help raise public awareness about an issue of global urgency.

Recent news of an adult performer testing positive for HIV has yet again shed a bad light on the adult industry, and opened the door to criticism. Brazzers and Manwin are using this situation as an opportunity to open the door to dialogue, and support a cause of global importance.

Creating adult films is all about fantasy; civilians who choose to recreate it in their private lives should do so responsibly. Though Brazzers does not use condoms in the creation of its scenes, it is using its voice and reach to remind viewers that adult material is created in a regulated environment.

“Reckless sexual behavior by adult performers prior to filming should not reflect on an entire industry,” says Frank, Director of Production for Brazzers. com. “Adult performers who take pride in the work they do, respect their bodies and practice safe sex in their private lives. This allows them to perform without condoms in front of the camera in good faith.”

Generously lending their names to the charitable cause are three Brazzers film stars: Jessica Jaymes, award winning and AVN Hall of Fame Inductee, Julia Ann, and AVN’s 2009 Performer of the year, Jenna Haze. The trio is featured in the minute-long awareness video, shedding light on the adult industry filming practices, and emphasizing the importance of practicing safe sex in the real world.

Brazzers performers are tested on a regular basis, and are barred from sets unless they provide valid and clean health tests. Being one of the most prolific producers of pornography in the world, shooting an average of 100 scenes every month, Brazzers’ clean record is a testament to the success of current industry practices.

Through the Get Rubber! campaign, Brazzers and Manwin will continuously encourage their viewers to be responsible, and to practice safe sex.
